Rise and I pushed this mod back a little bit because we are onto something VERY big regarding the .cat archives. We are very close to being able to fully extract those and this will mean being able to fix the endless loop that is in some of the fighting styles. The endless loop is actually caused by the player only having certain attacks being available to actually use....this is due to a 15 button limit on the controller due to this game being a console port. The attack types are: Light, Medium, Heavy, Special. Jimmy only has Light and Heavy attacks available and as a result....its extremely difficult at best to even utilize the other moves.
The PSMM has those missing moves manually bound by button codes in LUA and while it works...it is really not the best way to go about this. This is why Rise and I are for now concentrating on the .cat archives since...IF we can fully extract them...and put files back in...then we can fix these issues and then it will just be a simple matter of assigning a fighting style using one line of code instead of 1000's of lines of code.
Hopefully this makes some sense and i do apologize for the PSMM taking so long to complete....but Rise and I are trying to make sure that once it IS released...that it will be as bug free as possible and be simple for everyone here to enjoy.
If we can fix the .cat archives up...we will release a tool for working with them...since this will also allow customizing the styles by mixing moves from any style into one style...so you will be able to have a hybrid style of whatever moves that is wanted. I just ask that everyone to please be patient while we are working on this alternate plan here...because it never does good to constantly try to rush the ppl doing all of the hard work ...specially when it is for the moment...just two of us working on this...
