True. The 18 adult law gets tossed out the window. The teachers become your "parents". Well I don't need anymore parents than I have.

Yeah I'm 16 so it REALLY gets tossed out the window.

 When I was a senior and I turned 18 I flexed my new power.  If I had to go and get an asprin or something from the school Nurse, they would say something like "you need something signed by your parents before you can have one".  My response was taking out my driver's license with my DOB on it and saying, "just give me the damn asprin".

Haha that's great. Did they give it to you? Because my school wouldn't care how the fuck old you are. They'd tell you no.

Of course they did.  Their policy centered around the fact that they were responsible for minors attending the school.  At 18 you are no longer a minor and no longer their legal responsibility, sometimes they need a little reminding.

I hate it when they take advantage of the "you're a minor" shit. My school doesn't even let you take you own responsibilities. Everything Must be signed by Mommy and Daddy. I always try to make the point that I don't care. They always tell me how my injuries can let my mother sue the school. No! My parents can't speak for me in court according to state law. I have to sue the school. What really pisses me off is that the staff try as hard as they can to contradict what I said knowing they're wrong.

I know what you mean. They want everything decided for you. While the whole point of school is learning and also learning to have some adult-like responsibilities placed upon you. Geez, just let us take some matters in our own hands please.

I hated when we were on the computer and they would decide what was right for us. When we didn't pay attention, they walk up and hit the power button. That pissed off a lot of students.

They have this program at my school where they can gain access to your computer from theirs. All of a sudden you're mouse will start moving and they'll type in your address bar, "no e-mail" and click you out of it.

 Yeah, they had that ability where I went to school.  It was used mostly to fix computers that froze and other tech issues though.

Yeah at my school they just like to fuck with you and tell you to get off what ever website you got on via proxy servers.

Yeah I fuckin' hate that. Staff on authority trips. There's something called privacy.

Haha I know what you mean. Even when I'm at home, I never want anyone to watch me on the computer. One of my biggest pet peeves.

I want privacy. And I sure as hell won't be controlled by anyone. If I want to leave, I will.
