I don't think you are, but that plant ("Indian" I think?) is on one. While most people don't think about it, New England / New York is very suseptable to earthquakes. There was a major quake near Boston back in colonial times.

We don't get intense enough earthquakes to cause such a huge disaster. It would be extremely unlikely.

That's where you're wrong Dave. It can happen, though it is unlikely.

Anything can happen anywhere. It's just unlikely. Same case here.

I'm gonna have to look into the plants that are near the east coast. I haven't looked at the U.S. plant locations in some time.

We get like one earthquake every twenty years. Half the people don't even notice them.

We've had a few small ones in my life time. Only big enough to make some of the glassware jingle.

The further inland you go, the less they will be in this area. You're near Buffalo, so I'm not surprised. Its more of a New England phenomenon.

It depends upon the plate movement and the pressure they cause. Some places are worse than others.

They are interesting to experience. You don't really feel it. It just seems like a big truck is driving by. The window panes rattle a little bit, glass jingles....

Two other places that people never expect seismic activity are Charleston, SC and New Madrid, KY.
