Difference between red/bold topic titles?

Some titles of topics are bold because they are pinned, and some are red because they are also pinned. The non pinned ones are not bold and are also not red. What's the difference between the red ones, and the just-bold ones?

Well, just without actually looking, I think all those topics in red are sticky'd.
Odd though, I know the top and bottom ones are, but not showing in red ?
Maybe cuz it is locked.

The bold ones are ALL sticky'd, but not in red if they are locked.

I really never noticed, since I rarely go to the "Unread" button, just go through the topic sections, since I have to read everything.
