Rockstar filed a new trademark

Rockstar’s much-loved Bully franchise seems one step closer to a sequel today.

Junkie Monkeys (as spotted by OXM) dug out a trademark application filed with OHIM (the European trademark body) for something called Bully Bullworth Academy: Canis Canem Edit.

To dissect that name, Bullworth Academy is the name of the school featured in the original game. Canis Canem Edit, meanwhile, was the name the original game carried in the UK. It’s Latin for ‘dog eat dog’.

The trademark was filed on November 20th. Take-Two renewed its Bully trademark in the US earlier this year, too.

Nice news.
This has been discovered quite a while ago, but it still good to see people are still aware of this big step into a sequal.
Im sure there will be one in maybe a year or 2.

Id uh, get the PS4. Lets just say its having ALOT less issues than the Xbox one.

Anyways, the name. I can see a sequel using the name with both the regular and UK name put together so that it stops confusion, and both titles are on the box.

Since it is not numbered or having a hint of a sequel, it could yet again be another Re-Release. Perhaps Bully 1 is being prepped for an HD PS4 and Xbone port?

I think they should make bully 2 for the 360 and ps3 not everybody has the upgraded versions of those you know.

Quite a few games from other companies are taking that route where they are released to the old and new platforms. It helps the consumer in having a game they may want and it helps the developers financially in the long run. A game's time of release can be a determining factor in what platforms it will come out for.
