Here is a new pic I did in 3d a couple days back...took 22 hours to render this and it turned out quite nicely.
The shadows look strange because I used two different light sources and kinda forgot about the extra shadows that would result....since I was wanting to soften things up a bit.
I could have let this render "cook" for another 22 hours but figured this was enough for a quick render.
This is basicly a current work in progress that I am slowly working on and it happens to be my version of the character Ninjara from the Archie TMNT comics that I read as a kid and still have some scans of (lost my original collection in the fire) since I considered her one of my favorite characters due to the design the artists gave her and the fact that I happen to be a fan of anthromorphic art.
I will be posting more pics soon since I have quite a lot of renders that I have done since I first started this thread.
FYI: This was done in 3ds max and exported to a custom version of lux render which I have been toying with lately since I have been getting bored with pixar's renderman software which is a bit of a chore to use....but also gives excellent results.
