Uh, Wekser had nothing to do with him. I don't think Wesker even knew about him. Based on the trailers, Jake finds out about Wesker being his father sometime in RE6.

Albert never had much to do with his son, Jake Muller.

Wesker was never involved in Jake's life. That's kind of what I meant.

All I hope is that Wesker is finally gone.

I would hate to see Wesker come back AGAIN. He has to die at some point.

^ Especially considering the way RE5 ended.

It would just be pathetic to see him return after that. I'm getting tired of seeing him.

That's why I liked RE4; new villains that had nothing to do with Umbrella and Wesker had a very small part.  Also I thought that Krauser was awesome.

If only Resident Evil 4 was even remotely similar to the beta...I would've loved every bit of it. But since 4, the series lost its flavor to me.

5 was just 4 on a bigger scale. 6 will be the last chance of this series.

What was the beta like?  I personally enjoyed 4.  I loved the design of the village and the castle, Krauser (as I mentioned), the monks chanting, and the Regenerators scared the shit out of me.  Ashley was annoying and I agree that there was too much action, not enough horror.  But I still liked it.  5 was where the series lost me.

The beta turned into Devil May Cry. The original 4 was more eerie and supernatural.

Resident Evil 3.5 (All Footage)

There was a black 'mist' and I think it was 'alive' and Leon was infected.

4 and 5 were leaning really far into the action direction. Now some people liked that. A lot complained though. I was upset. Horror, which has always played a significant role in this series, was missing from both 4 and 5. Horror is what makes these games great.

I see nothing wrong with action being introduced to this series, but horror needs to stay. Supposedly this issue will be fixed in 6. I'm giving the series a last chance, 6 being that chance. I'm getting the game.

I've always been loyal to this series. I've played and loved this series for years. Since I was a kid. It's obvious that 4 and 5 were the turning point of the series. For some it was a good one and some a bad one. Me it was bad.

As a loyal fan, I feel partially obligated to go on, but if it keeps going in the same direction, there needs to be a point where things end. I will give it one more chance. 6 better satisfy me.

I still like 4 but after watching the beta footage I have to agree with how much better it could have been.  What are the monkeys running Capcom thinking?  Why did they cut the hook man?
