How to get this forum running again
« on: December 06, 2008, 01:43:23 AM »
:)As everyone here should have noticed, this forum is dying and not much change is happening at this point to prevent it from going away for good. I merley have some suggestions that might bring this thread back to life

1. Make Scholarship edition threads for Xbox 360, Wii and PC.
2. Have popular topics for each one like: Screenshots, cheats, acheivments, goals, etc.
3. Upload Bully SE videos from Youtube on this site, and change weekly.

These are just some small ideas that might work, but im sure im not the only one with ideas, so If anyone will step up, post your ideas here!

Oh and I almost forgot to mention, my friend and I plan on making our own Bully forum, that is NOT powered by V-Bullitin, If this site does does get back on its feet in a respectable ammount of time. The original Bully for PS2 is out of date and like I said, we need to have SE take over this forum, or we all might as well just say our goodbyes and join another forum :(

weve already done all that stuff ... weve juiced bully for all of its worth. the only reason people are still on this forum is to talk to each other when theres nothing to do. just look at some of the old threads and youll get ur fix.

Well maybe we took the wrong approach then. If you've already juiced bully for all of its worth, the forum would be full again. With the new versions of the game, the forum should have a new start.

Mate, We've done everything you've suggested.

early next year, this Forum will be turning 3 years old. I think that's amazing that people are still on the site posting.

Everyone has commitments in life now, other things eating up their time. Don't Blame us for not being as interested in Bully SE, we've seen it all before.

We could advertise the site. I mean most sites have ads on youtube. Maybe we should just to get it up and running again?

Yea, as Marcus said, all the advertising in the world wont help because Bully as a game, is old news. Pretty much everythin that could be said about Bully has been written and contributed to this site and i'm grateful to every member. But nobody wants to talk about a 3 year old last-gen game when there are newer, better, more interesting games being released every week.

This forum now pretty much serves as a Bully information database/socializing area. The only thing that would boost this forum would be if R* announced Bully2. Things would go crazy here and i would put some work into creating a bigger better forum/website. But, it looks unlikely that R* are going to do that any time soon.

I appreciate your posts and enthusiasm, but it just wouldn't work.

how about making a pixel shader 2.0 patch  for bully!

That would allow a whole lot of people to experience bully on the PC! and bring them to this forum!!!

If you read the guides, I don't see why you wouldn't understand it. It's really not difficult once you know what to do.

If you know how to 'crack' one program, you can usually crack up stuff. ;)

I'm not really much of a PC gamer. (I have a suckey ass computer...)
But I think that it would be awesome if we could start up a new thread on MODS for the PC or something... We can maybe somehow have this site intergrated with a file share host and users can download mods straight from the forum... (It might be a little too far fetched... but other than that I'm all out of ideas...)

EDIT: I also made a YouTube channel for this site like a year ago and if anyone is interested in making videos and uploading them onto the channel then be my guest, (PM me and I'll give you the password and such...)
