Did anyone here read The Outsiders?

I was walking past a greaser once (I forget which) and they said "Stay gold, Ponyboy." Also, if you pull the fire alarm in the dorm, a greaser might run by saying "JOHNNY! A FIRE!"

Rockstar is famous for references to pop culture (Grottos & Gremlins / Dungeons & Dragons??). Did anyone find anything else while playing the game?

Johnny is a character in the game (Greaser Leader)

AND:

The one that said "Stay Gold, PonyBoy" was Norton Williams(Giant Black Greaser)

1.Ray references mario

2.I'm pretty sure Jimmy Hopkins is based on Holden Caulfield.

3.The whole Greasers vs. Preps thing is based off of The Outsiders

4.The sign on the drive through menu says Coke.

5."Russel Smash" is a reference to the incredible hulk

The "Russell smash!" thing reminds me of Family guy.  "Reagan smash!"...."Reagan sleepy...."  that qoute was tagged at the HS I went to.  There were 2 boarded up doors and the first part was on one, and continued onto the next door.  It was fuckin' hilarious walking by it between classes every day.

Russel Nerd Bomb could be a wrestling reference to the Batista Bomb... Need to check this out.
