Books teach something called "language arts", which is a part of every day life. Games are a form of visual arts, a form of entertainment which isn't always educational unless you're pursuing a career in that field.

Education is not all about science and math.

Sigh. If you're going to be all technical, then note that many games have you make decidaions, which can teach you right from wrong. They also have consequences for negative actions teaching people that your negative actions have consequences. So in fact games do teach you decision making, consequences and stuff. Also, there is a ton of dialogue and parts in games that you have to read, so in fact, games teach you language arts as well.

Games aren't all about drawings and pictures, and you, my good friend, just got pwned.
:P

^ What you just said is what all those people who want to ban violent video games want to hear.

And that is that video games will teach the players. That they have an "influence" on you.

You, my good friend, just got pwned.

:p I had to!

What? Haha
Games don't teach you to kill. They show that there are consequences for it. And in the games that you can kill and stuff, the rating is T and above. People by then should already have a basis for how they behave. But you're right, what I said was a bunch of bull. xD

If you want to get technical, how many people have killed because of the Bible or other literary works? You'll always (unfortunately) have someone unhinged enough to where they will be influenced by some form of media. If we get rid of one, we should get rid of all.

Get rid of color, too, and make everything bland black and white.

I saw it on the news how people were complaining about the security in them being too extreme.
