Please don't even have me start. There are some WEIRD people out there.

Weird doesn't even begin to describe the horrors I've seen.

Have you guys checked Misc. RPG's under Games? And I know the horrors of slash. It's enough to make anyone insane and scarred for life. Trust me.

Yes.  Slash fiction has become very popular.  Very out of character but the writers never seem to care.

Hey, sometimes it isn't- and in this game, there are gay and bisexual characters, so it's totally canon. :)

And yay for fanfiction! I asked if anyone else had written any on another thread. Only other one I've found online was a Gary/Petey (gen, not slash) piece, and that was through Google... and yeah- I dunno what's up with FF.net not having a Bully section. (Seriously- I thought the fangirls would have gone nuts over this game...)

Yeah, i thought the whole gay theme would have made them go mad. Slash gets on my nervs a lil bit, but whatever tickles your fancy i say!

Yeah, I mean, it's not like Harry Potter has had a gay thought, yet what the fandom has written about him... (Though Sirius and Remus are practically canon...)

Whereas this game? Has canon gay pairings, plenty of innuendo, and gay/bisexual guys. Not to mention it's set in a boarding school which mostly consists of boys. Writing slash about it = shooting fish in a barrel.

I suspect it's more about the audience than the game. If it were a book or a comic, I think there would be more fanfiction. I'm guessing women who are gamers (or who are active in gaming fandoms) are still a minority, and given that the majority of the people writing slash are heterosexual women... it doesn't happen that much.

Like I said, I saw one gen fic which *might* have become slashy (Gary/Petey) on a yaoi board. Amongst some fanart and furry stuff... which- hey, I'm openminded, they're not hurting anyone, I guess- but I don't get it. And cartoon porn kind of disturbs me.

No, no. Im a total Harry Potter freak and i know that Remus and Sirius are straight. (in regard to the 6th book)

Yeah, i do think that's a bitof a target, but i don't get why slash loving pople pick characters that hate each other... it kind of annoys me. Im a romance writer myself and if im going to do a fanfiction about two characters in love, i look for the real evidence (E.G Sonamy, Misty and ash from pokemon, Sora and Tai from digimon) because it makes me feel more happy about it tht way.

....like Chris Redfield and Albert Wesker paired together in the Resident Evil fandom. -cringes-

THEY WANT EACH OTHER DEAD, PEOPLE, I DON'T THINK THEY WANT TO BUMP UGLIES IN BETWEEN SHEETS.
