What is the "ide.img" file?
« on: June 18, 2020, 08:51:35 PM »
Hello!

I'm new here and I don't understand some things about "ide.img" file. Maybe my questions are simple, but I really don't understand some things.

I would like to understand what AnimationGroup is. What is "B_Striker", "F_Male", "CV_Male", "Authority", "null", and so on...?

How can I change fighting styles? Do I need to change the AnimationGroup or just change where there is "Global/..."?

There is multiple .img files you will find in different folders of the install directory. Every .img file is an archive of files in the compiled form of lua code. Some of what you mentioned are used to write raw .lua code.

I never opened the ide.img file. "AnimationGroup" is pretty vast though. It gives each character, faction, and even vehicle their own unique movement. "Authority" is an animation that is associated with any prefect, officer, or adult figure who can "arrest" you.
