Beta Johnny boss fight recreation
« on: April 16, 2015, 04:08:59 PM »
I recreated the boss fight to look closer to it's beta version counterpart. I didn't edit the actual mission, as I would need the source and I don't have enough experience for that.

The changes I made according to the beta bully thread and the unused cutscene:

- The magnet scene was a full cutscene rather than an in-game cutscene (originally found by Governmentman123).
- It was raining.
- The magnet didn't attract the leadpipe.
- The axekick caused a mud effect in your screen.

I added it to the script because it was meant to be used in the original version. Honestly I don't know if johnny was really supposed to use the pipe but he still has it in the cutscene.

All done in lua?

Yeah it wasn't that hard.

How do you load cutscenes using lua?

PlayCutsceneWithLoad("CUTSCENENAME", true)

The cutscenes names are in: Rockstar Games\Bully Scholarship Edition\Cuts\Cuts.img

Nice work Deadpool!!
Question:did you add the mud effect after recording or it's an ingame unused thing?

By the way,for the ones wondering why the pipe wasn't taken as well...It's because it's made of aluminium or some anti-magnetic metal (Pretty obvious though)

It's an unused function called EffectBlindedbyMud. I think it was supposed to last longer but honestly I don't have enough proof.

About the pipe it's weird because in the final version it is attracted. Btw that weapon is called "leadpipe" in the game files so it wouldn't make sense that it doesn't get attracted.

Yeah, but the only clue I find for the unused cutscene,is that it was made of aluminium...Maybe now it's made of magnetic metal...

I know, I am bumping the topic and this is one month old, but I just have a question to ask.

Is it possible to add the mud effect in the game, or is the effect specific only for this boss fight?

EffectBlindedbyMud(true)

There ya go. It can be used if you know Lua scripting.
