I use one that connects via USB.
Just google "xbox 360 windows usb" or something similar to it and you'll probably find lots of results.

Make sure it's on before you start the game, then once you're in-game, go to the options menu and enable xbox 360 controller.

Then it's probably broken or you haven't installed any drivers for it.
