I doubt Player Selector will champ over Super Mod now.
Player Selector should've been out when Super Mod had just been released. You could have ealisy gained a lot of attention back then.

The mod is no longer hyped and will probably not achieve much when it gets released.
I'm not trying to be harsh about it, so pardon the negativity.

But let's be real.
When this was first announced, people were instantly hyped and excited.
Now it's more or less the last slice of pie left in the fridge.
Time didn't go easy on it.
Ya but let's be honest. You, he,  she,  her mom,  his aunt,  her cousin, everyone on this board is waiting for one thing in particular which is full fighting style for the Player. Once people realize that is release expect more "bully fans"  to pass by.


Right... so just a little over 3 months for that? Totaling to how many years? Shit I bet Bully 2 could of been developed faster.

PSMM will be a good mod, I'm not trying to shoot it down so much but I'm just saying like SWEGTA it is old now. Full styles seems to be the only hype it has now, which I actually didn't even know was being released. Rise told me that was for developers only and the public gets shit.

Also, Super Mod is going to have a style creator. Not all styles will be full, but they will all be playable and at least have 1 move.


Again, I DO still support PSMM and it will be a great mod but just saying it would of been a lot better if released a while ago...

I'm with you, Boss.
PSMM isn't a bad mod by any stretch of the imagination.
It's a really cool mod that a lot of people have wanted for quite some time.

But since the community "Doesn't deserve shit", I think people will be more likely to move away from the mod, over to Super Mod.
Zombie Edition still has a hype, but that's because it really sticks out. And progress has been shown over and over again.

PSMM should have been out 1 - 2 years ago or so. Then people would've rushed over to it.
Still, there's a good chance that it will succeed. Just not as much as Super Mod.

It wasn't complete. People keep begging for incomplete projects...  Why is that? Not even the full styles were ready 1-2 years ago along with MadmaN's absent.

Not trying to start an argument but hear me out. Like MadmaN said it will be worth the long wait. Nobody is getting paid to do this and it's not about what's "hyped" people will still download it regardless.

Of course people will still download it, and it will be awesome! But... not as awesome if it was released when expected.

Also with the begging thing... maybe it shouldn't of been announced so early, and plus it gets delayed.
Yes, you could stop whenever you want because you don't get paid and say fuck everybody, but then you'd be violating your promise and disappointing people and it is your decision to be that type of person.

Also, just to be clear I'm not trying to argue in a hostile/offensive way I'm just trying to discuss this in a nice matter as I do respect the mod and it's creators.

Let's all just drop the whole "I don't want to fight"-attitude.
We know better than that, and we have already established it.


It was the overall broken promises and letdowns that led people over to Super Mod (that and the fact hat Super Mod removes so many barriers and allows the players to do what they want).
Player Selector Mega Mod is going to have plenty of neat features, but will it really matter when Super Mod has already (and will) accomplished them?

The purpose of this mod was for MadmaN's last mod for the community. It's not meant to be better then the Super Mod or what it has accomplished. This mod was MadmaN and Rise to Honor ideas into one big mod since the start of Bully Board.  Sure the super mod does alot of fancy things but that doesn't mean people forgot about the PSMM in anyway. People still ask for it even til this day despite what the super mod has done.

Yeah, sure.
But I'm talking about the decrease in hype.

This mod will be good. Really good.
But it won't stick out if it gets released after Super Mod. Even worse if it gets delayed again.

I'm still pretty hyped for this mod. Having Mad back on it will surely give it that nice touch of perfection that Bully Modders love.

This mod does show promise, especially with one of the biggest Bully Modders out there back on it.

Not trying to sound like I'm kissing up to Mad, but this mod did need him.
After all, it's one of his own personal projects.

In regards to my being missing as of late the past several days to nearly a week ..... I have kinda been having some isp issues which have been sadly affecting everyone on my isp and not just me and the past 4 days I have had no internet access and it was just fixed about a hour ago...5:10 am as I post this xD.

As to the convos above....The PSMM was the brainchild of Rise and myself and we came up with the idea for this mod before I even released a single lua script to the community. Yes...this mod has taken quite a long time to develop and has kinda been in development hell for the past couple years....but this is due to many problems in real life that I have had to deal with and was forced to retire from modding and so modding had to take the back seat as it were and when the project got brought down to just Rise and Lemon doing work on it....both kinda got burnt out working continuously on the mod without my help as well on things.

As to the comments about the hype....I personally could care less about any 'hype' this mod has or has had...or the 'age' this mod has compared to the super mod....since in all reality....I am not doing this for any hype or to try to compete with any other modder or with their mods and am simply doing this because I made a promise to everyone and I WILL live up to that promise since I always try to be a man of my word...even if it DOES kinda take me a lot longer then I initially planned.

Super mod does quite a lot of great things and I refuse to trash talk about that mod since I myself have played around with that mod and like it a lot and it is pretty well done.

Just so everyone understands the whole point of the PSMM and the whole point of this mod....this mod is actually intended to be two mods.....first mod is the standalone release....which functions much liek the super mod...but goes about 10 steps further on what all it can accomplish....the second release will be the original intended release of it being included as the central part of my long delayed Mega Mod which will likely be the largest mod ever made for bully and the reason why that specific mod has taken so long to work on....since the Mega Mod actually will be released in two versions....first version will have textures at 4000x4000 resolution for far better detail and EVERY texture in the game including ped textures...will be fully replaced with hd versions. I am the ONLY one working on the mega mod and will keep it that way for now since I have a very very careful plan for this mod....the second release will be only for certain people to play since it will require a system with specs similar to my own (not everyone can afford a setup like this) since the textures will be 8000x8000 for all the uber detail freakaholics out there that love extreme detail on textures.

The mega mod was and always will be the original reason for PSMM being created in the first place as it was intended to be part of that mod...but Rise and I decided early on to have a stand alone PSMM that can be used by those that not only don't want to mess with 6gb+ of HD textures...but also have something they can use while playing the game all teh way through without any vanilla game functions being broken in any way. Basicly...think of the PSMM as being a nice addon to extend BULLY to be played the way it was MEANT to be played and this also will give the game more of a sandbox enviroment too.

I also have planned when I can get the time and energy to iron out the code for it....to create something similar to garrys mod for hl2....but do this for bully instead...but I will not go anywhere near as far as garrys mod has gone as that is just way too advanced for BULLY to even handle due to the limitations of the gamebryo game engine so that will end up being kinda like a machinima on steroids along with every function PSMM has along with a ton of other functions too....also the possability of a ingame map editor (early planning for that one) and possibly a ingame lua code injector/editor using a direct x overlay.....but all of this is just in very very early planning stages and nothing is concrete on anything.

As far as how many people use PSMM once released...I don't really care too much about how popular this mod ever gets since popularity was never the goal in the first place...instead PSMM was just more of a means to see just how far we could go with lua scripting with what we know and have on hand and have that be a stepping stone to show the community what could be accomplished if everyone works together and tries hard enough to make something really neat happen.

I will add some updates in a week or two about the status of the PSMM and let everyone know what is going on with that...I just have not had too much time the past week to do a whole lot of coding on it and still need to do a lot of code cleaning and integration of a lot of things before I can decide whether or not to update the status on the features.....right now...my goal is to just get PSMM completed and released as soon as I can and basicly go from there.

Before PSMM is released...I will be releasing some more of the vanilla lua scripts from the game so everyone will have some new files to play with....but I will atm only release just a few since I am waiting on Rise to let me know when he thinks it is ok to release some others I have in mind....but those if released now will impact the future of the PSMM and cause more trouble then good.

Hopefully this reply sheds a bit more light on things and lets everyone understand the REAL reasons for this mod. Popularity was never my goal....nor was fame...nor competition with anyone since that just causes more problems in the long run for everyone and I do not want to see BB or the modding community go down the same road the gta community did.
