Personally, I'm not going to write for it, nor do I know anyone who is besides you, but it seems like an interesting contest to get people to showcase their work. And see what they come up with within that short timeline. Since it's a different mentality from having all the time in the world to fix up a novel, and just having a month, it'll be interesting.

You best be a fast typer XD

4.6 hours IF you typed at 180 WPM.

But that's impossible nearly cause your hands would surely hurt by then + a few mistakes + you can't think that fast and keep up the typing.

But if you only typed 90 WPM (Half) then 9.2 hours... plus maybe another hour for thinking breaks. Another hour for your hands hurting. 11.2 hours if you went 90 WPM and didn't stop all day.

Fast typer? That ain't shit, negro! It's the quality of the story that matters. Being a fast writer is a nice bonus, but fast typing doesn't fix grammatical errors, plot holes, plot storylines, etc.  :ajajaxh5:

I had a friend who got to 40k, but that was also because she had a story in her head for a while, so she was able to breeze through most of it.

She finished it in December, proofing and all. I should probably attempt it. Maybe. I dunno.

I could do it.  @2,000 words a day, every day, it would take 25 days.  But the catch is, you have little time to be sick, get writer's block, or any other delays.  And, you would need a really good idea on how the story will go, from beginning to end, before you start.

Each of the NES chapters is longer than 50K words.  When I started on each one, I had the goal in mind of how each would end up....It was just a matter of getting there.  I added in a whole lot of side stories along the way, to spread out to multiple characters and make it as interesting as I could.  Sometimes, the writing has been easy, and flowed swiftly.  Other times, it was a slog, and may take hours just to get in 2k words.  So, all that has to be factored in to just how long it's gonna take.

I think only self-disciplined people would be able to do such a thing, frankly.  And maybe that's what this competition is all about.  Anybody can write 50k words of crap, that's done every day.  But it takes talent to write a good story that lasts through time.

Well, for the sake of fast writing , you could use a voice to text program (evernote?) for some parts.
The story itself is a bit harder. It would definitely help if you had a story in your head before you start writhing .
For me, when I start writhing I tend to just come up with stuff on the fly until it's done.
