Last year (10th grade) I took: Geometry, Earth Science, Global II, and English 10*. Not including electives.

I took Algebra 2/Trigonometry over the summer.

Now I'm in: Pre-Calculus*, Chemistry, US History, and English 11. Also not including electives.

Oh and * means there's no regents exam at the end. LOL

I was happy when I found out I'm taking only one regents this year. It pissed me off when the school tried to tell me I did poorly on the english regents last year and need to redo it. These muthafuckers tried to tack on another regents that I PASSED. They did this because their computers shut down and they lost records, including mine! I had to bring papers to them to prove I passed. Maybe they should learn from this shit and keep paper files. I do.

That's a new one from the shit that I've seen so far. "Because you did so poorly". Watch out for that one. Seems like schools are either asswipes who can't keep records or don't give students easy years.

I know a teacher who was fired because they found a COMPUTER to replace her. I'm also hearing that some of the high school regents are being removed. The curriculum is being revised and a lot of the regents are being dropped. They're not really considered significant anymore. Kinda sad.

Yup. This was in a college. I can't imagine that shit happening in high schools. Seeing a computer send a kid off to the detention room.

I can just see the issues coming with that thing.  There's probably no communications between the computer and the students. Now the students have to move at the computer's pace or fail. Totally wrong. What if I had to ask a question?
