Fight off some of the preppies around you or just run upstairs. As soon as you finish watching the cutscene, quickly head to the doors and you'll see that there is a lock by each door. Use them to lock them, because if you don't, Derby will keep calling them in to help him beat you up. If you lock the doors, just fight Derby and the other 2 preppies.

Ok, back on topic, after you beat the hell out of Derby and his fellow preps, chapter 2 ends with a cutscene with Jimmy telling the preps he is now boss.
