Beginning modding tutorial?
« on: February 07, 2013, 04:44:14 PM »
Hey guys, me and a friend are interested in modding bully, but we don't know how to mod it. Could anyone help me? A basic tutorial would be AMAZING. Thank you so much

(NOTE: I really don't want anything along the lines of "IF YA DONT KNOW WHER TO STERT DOT MAWD BULLY HURR DURR." That would be great, there is no reason to post something like that.)

What mods would you like to make?

Basics:
Changing skins
Fighting style changing
Ped editing

More advanced:
LUA Scripting (BETA)
Model replacing (Cars and weapons ONLY)

Not possible yet:
Map editiing
Model importing (Characters)
Full LUA Scripting

Reasons for this is because Bully modding isn't as popular as GTA modding.

I am mostly interested in changing skins and adding weapons. Is it possible to add weapons, or just change the looks of current weapons?

One last thing: I think it would be cool if I could add driveable cars.(Not the go-cart)

Edit: DO I need to learn a computer languauge?(C++, java, ASCII)

You don't need any of that.

All you need is IMG Tool for replacing skins.

http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=63 (Says it works for GTA III/VC/SA, but it works for Bully SE too.)

I have Bully No. 1 for PS2, can I still use it?

And are adding weapons possible?

Why exactly is an ISO mod? Back to that thing about computing language, a few files are written in why appears to be ASCII. I can probably use the textures link for bully 1, but I'm not the best coder out there. I still am unsure if I can add weapons or not, thanks for helping me so far.  :)

Also thank you for moving my topic, I see it was in the wrong place. Does anyone know anything about my questions above?
