MadmaN's Photos (just a few)
« on: January 18, 2012, 03:16:03 PM »
Figured I would go ahead and post a few photos here just so ppl know a small bit about other aspects of who I am, since my clan has similar threads on our own forums about this sort of thing and I consider it fun anyways so here goes:

here is a pic of what I actually look like and don't let my look scare you....it is just my poker face that you are seeing ...hehe which makes me a literal nightmare when playing poker or any card game for that matter.

That is a old pic of me and I happen to have a longer goatee now xD and this was taken before the fire too...approximately two months before.

Here are a few pics of my car which atm is sitting mostly thru winter since I have quite a few electrical problems I have to fix now with it along with totally replacing the dash which is broke (long story behind that one) plus getting it ready to start work on converting it to a old school wiring setup so I can drop a 1200 hp chevy 454 big block in it to really turn it into a unique machine. These pics I took today since all of my other pictures of it aside from one pic of my ls7 engines that I ran were destroyed in my house fire...so aside from a few pics that a couple close friends in my clan have.....this is basicly it until I take more new ones.

The 4runner in the background belonged to my now late grandfather and was just recently finally put into my name so I own that now and that happens to be what I drive mom around in atm due to the issues my car currently has. Sucks on fuel milage tho....but my car gets the worst milage atm so its kinda expensive to even drive it due to how it is setup.

This is the only surviving picture I have of one my LS7 engines that I ran. This was taken at a car show that I entered after doing the build. This should be enough for all of you car nuts to drool over....lol

On the second photo of my car you can see in the background where our home once was and behind that with the grey tarp over the ramp area is my workshop that I inherited from my grandfather....That is where I am atm writing this post because this is now my combo office/workshop and is actually quite nice inside...since I have been redoing the interior a bit at a time. I will post pics of the aftermath of the fire if anyone wants to see them. I really don't mind talking about it now since I have put it behind me...even tho I never really have gotten over that....I just hope that noone here ever experiences a loss like that because it is somthing that is too horrible to really put into words or describe in any way.

And here are photos of my dad's 1971 chevelle ss with a 700+ hp 454. The rachet floor shifter he is using is the one I ran in my car before I parted out the engines and sold most of my parts. The racing seats I also gave him since those were in the eclipse I used to run which I restored back to stock condition and sold to this family for their teen daughter who really loves it.

Hehe....thanks.

My car is my pride and joy....and also the fact that pontiac no longer exists as a company...it makes these particular cars collectors cars since parts...namely original parts are starting to get very hard to come by...tho you can get aftermarket ones pretty easily. Just as long as you are willing to shell out the money to get em since they are most definately not cheap. When I was running with the ls7 engines and had the street/strip setup,  by that point I had put around $27,000 into the car over a period of 3 years, tho both engines I ran were gifts to me from a very close friend that has remained close since our highschool days, since one engine came out of his gf's wrecked corvette z06 and the other one was a spare crate engine that he bought but never used and I shelled out quite a bit of money building both engines up. The first engine ended up with a hairline crack completely through the block just behind cylynder number 2 and I was forced to swap the second one in which did really good. Ended up selling both engines to some guy for $14,000 total tho I kept my drag wheels and radials, rachet shifter that I later gave dad for his chevelle and kept the racing tranny along with my rear end which all sit at his garage. I learned the hard way that if you choose to setup your car with a engine like that....you MUST swap out the stock rear end and put a bigger one in that can handle the torque since the torque on those engines was enough to not only snap the driveshaft almost instantly but it was enough to blow the stock rear end out....plus the ford 9 inch allows you to go with wide drag wheels in the rear after you tub the rear end out due to the fact that the rear end itself doesn't allow the wheels to stick out as far as a stock rear does....so you can go with wider tires as well as have a solid rear that can handle the torque. I had mine custom built at a local shop for $900 since I do not own the proper tools to do that.

I don't know much about cars too, only a little, but I'm quite interested. It's a good thing my dad is a (ship) engineer and knows how to repair/customise cars and bikes.

The first picture makes you look like a bouncer at a nightclub.
Without the cigar though.

heh, I am trying to make the proper time to mingle in more with everyone since I really do consider this my second home away from my gaming clan...and my family. This is one the best communities I have personally been part of and I fully intend to stay.

hehe, I plan to since I have come to think of all of ya as sort of a second family ...a online family to say the least and to me...thats a good thing. Since I will without thinking twice offer my help to anyone here that needs it providing it is within my power to do so. Wether its help on a bully mod, help with a gfx project or help of a personal nature...since I take friendship very seriously since good friends you can count on and actually trust online or in real life are rare indeed. Most ppl out there would just as soon as screw you over or kill you just to get the upper hand in their own life then just simply be there for someone else...even a complete stranger...and honestly....ppl that screw others are not worth my time.

My mom taught me a important lesson when I was a kid....pay it forward. which means that if you do somthing good for someone...even if its at random...there is a good chance they will return the favor someday. That is what I have also been trying to teach in a subliminal way with how I help ppl with mods and with how I release things. Since in the end it just promotes teamwork between ppl and helps others develop friendship with eachother too.

That's why I hang here.  This site has the best people, even if some are still 'wet behind the ears', Ha Ha.
