Rename the modified file to "ide"

Just download the below file and rename it to "ide", then put it in the objects folder.

it managed to get past the loading screens. but when i enter story, the whole thing crashes. :( not responding. damn....i renamed it ide.img and pasted it in the Objects Folder.

Try again...it may not necessarily work the first time, probably due to differences in the directory.

If the game crashes after the first loading screen, it's not because the ide.img was edited wrongly.

That happened to me a lot of times. When you replace jimmy "skeleton" (or body size) with a certain ped, the game just doesn't work for unknown reasons (at least for me).
The first times I played as Hal everything was normal. The next day it didn't work anymore.

tried like 10 times all with the same result. crashes at the loading screen after u click Story.  :( So ur saying its all down to Luck?

That's very awkward...

Keep trying. It's not related to luck...I have a feeling it's due to the dir file having a conflict.

It's happened to me before, sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't.

what should i do with hex editor. its too complicated. hex editor says (when i paste hex value) "are you sure the size will change!"

can anybody give me exactly hex values to change?
