It was actually a broken cord on the inside that would take about $200 to fix... I would rather buy a good desktop for $750.

Mine was $500, and desktops are usually cheaper because of mobility reasons, but that don't really matter to me. A $750 desktop to me would easily match a $900 laptop from the inside.

The quality of a Desktop and a laptop are pretty much equal. It's just the missing part of mobility from the Desktop.

In certain cases you'll get better connection with a grounded desktop than with a wireless laptop. Desktops also hold a great amount of space.

Desktops hold a much greater amount of it. Depending on what you do you'll need to decide what's better for you.

I ended up getting a laptop as my latest computer, mostly for the mobility. However, I have yet to set up wireless service and all internet activity is still carried out on a desk top.

It's not all it's cracked up to be, or shown to be in the Tube. 

I'd like to to take that 'Invisible Cord' that one snotty girl goes on about and wrap it around her neck.  These people oughtta live out here in the boonies and see how good of service they get in real life.

lol, we use that term a lot here because so many cities and towns around here are so unoriginal in their names. It's always "East___" or "West____".
