WTF is going on here.

Repo: Yes, it would be cool to be able to read minds... ask anyone, they'd agree.

Everyone else: WTF

Reading minds would have advantages. Imagine what you could do to a teacher in school!

STAFF: You are in detention because you read your teacher's mind and cheated.

A better power would be to be able to mentally force people to do things by the way of a mental command. Yes, I know, this could be used for evil as well as good....But wouldn't it be a cool power ?  If used in the right way, that Is.

Sure would. I would use it to help people when the law didn't. How many cases of that are there?

He meant cases of the law not helping people.

Cases where the police turned their back and said "fuck it". I would love to help in that. That's what the law did to me.

That's the basis for every crimefighter from Superman on down....To have someone, anyone, who can right the wrongs unprotected by the average Cops....Who are, after all, only flawed humans like the rest of us.

Well...Fact is, they don't get paid to give a shit.  And with all the misery out there to deal with, any person will soon have an overload.

Say, for example....It wasn't just 2 dogs I found I had to care for because of some degenerate humans, but 20 ?  Or 100 ?  I couldn't do it....Even as much as I care, I just couldn't do it all myself.  I'd be overwhelmed.

Same with anybody, weather it be animal or human....They soon get overwhelmed and overloaded.  For them to cope, you are reduced to a case number.....Just a job, to be delt with and moved on.  The days are long gone when O'Malley the friendly neighborhood cop knew everyone on the block and had their best interests at heart.

It also depends on the individual. Sometimes society and the people you come in contact with make you bitter and skeptical and skew your views, thus making you more biased.
