Sadly, No.....The highest point in this state is 1257 feet above sea level, and that's over by Ohio somewhere. The only thing around here is ugly, flat, bare land just as far as one can see.
But, I have been to the Appies, the Rockies, the Ozarks, and a bunch of other places that's a whole lot higher then Indiana would ever dream of being. I've stood on top of a 12,000 foot mountain in the snow in June, on the edge of a 2000 foot dropoff at a place called the Tooth Of Time, and have been on the high platau of the Beartooth Pass.
I believe I would have made a fine Mountain Man in another time, another place. Pity.
