Lol, I remember reading the NES threads and noticed Merc was indeed, a moderator. But it doesn't show up anywhere else except in that section.

No, I remember when that section was created Merc had asked the current mods if he could be one for the NES section.

That was done, as far as I know, because he had originated the NES Story. In the old board, we didn't have a separate section for FanFic stories.
