Where Is Vance's Sword ?

I don't remember much about going over to beat up Vance as the Pirate over on the Island....

But, the sword, which is stated to be like 'a yardstick that will not break', I don't recall what happened to it. 

I have 3 saved 100% games, so no help there.  I have one winter saved game, the one right at Christmas (so I can run around without the clock), but I already beat up Vance at that point.

So...I don't recall....Could the sword be gotten off the Island without Jimmy dropping it as he starts to swim ?

 Wow, you actually brought up a good point about this.  I never really thought about it before, but you're right, I don't think it could ever be taken off the island without dropping it.

If there's one major flaw in this game, it's not being able to add the Melee Weapons to your inventory and carry them around with you. 

Thinking about it, I do remember taking it from him, but after Vance is beaten up, there's nothing left to hit with it.

 Now that I think of it, the last time I took his sword I got all excited and I couldn't wait to try it out on students.  Then I was hit with reality....

That's insane having an un-breakable melee weapon you can only use once....

Beats the shit outta me.....Been a looooong time since I played that mission.

If we could stash & carry the Melee Weapons up Jimmy's Ass, this wouldn't be a problem.
