I'll keep on reading, I wonder what you have in mind for the epilouge.

It'll be kinda a wrapup of any loose ends and short relator of events to come in the future.  I did a small epilogue at the end of chapter 6, about 4 posts, cause I was going to be done then.  I'm planning a longer one at the end this time, to cover up past Tony and Karen's graduation.

I wonder what's going to happen with Russell when he can't go to school anymore. He can't get any money shaking down kids, he could sell his parents stuff but then he would have nothing at all. I doubt he can hold any real job unless it was being a bodyguard.

Seeing as how Russell was one of the few identified as actually having a house (Tad was another one, both were in the Vale), it would seem Russell's parents were middle-class.  Not rich, but well-off enough to provide for their retarded son.

Which makes it even stranger that Russell is a Bully, since he's not poor like the other Bullies seem to be.

I doubt Russell could get a job guarding a bucket of fish, he's so stupid.  He'd only wander off after a while and forget.

But his parents are rarely home and he's probably too stupid to sell their stuff. He'd probably try to eat a grenade if he had one.

He was alone for quite a while in the earlier part of the story (Trent was in charge then), so he will make out fine. I'm not gonna worry about him.  Let Social Services take care of him.

Poor little idiot, I almost feel bad for him. I'm pretty sure no family will ever adopt him.

I keep forgetting to mention this, but I seriously feel bad for Kurt. Did he really deserve to be stuck in the looney bin for life? He was one of my favorite characters because I can kinda relate to him.

Kurt might still be walking this side of the sanity line if not for Derby's torture sessions and whatever the Monks did to him.  Still, life hasn't generally been easy for sons of imprisoned ex-mob bosses.

^ Perhaps you did the common thing that authors in these situations tend to make. Making the reader feel sympathetic to someone that in the author's eyes is a "seriously disturbed Psychopath".... I know there's terminology for it but I can't remember right now.

Ah, the kid was an asshole.  Tried to steal Tony's new girlfriend (Karen) and had serious anger-management issues.  But with the background I later provided, who wouldn't ?

The only decent thing he ever did in the story was to have his boys try to stop the rape of Zoe.  No idea why he did that, since he wound up kidnapping Pinky later.

Though to be fair, he only started out as a nosey snot. IMO his anger towards Tony was totally justified the way he stuffed him in a trashcan and knocked him out without little to no provocation. That being said, he did go a little bit overboard during his story.

Yes, and Kurt provided me with my very first entry into the story.  I HATE being interrupted.

I suppose I thank him....But the snot who had control of Kurt then was a real ass himself (he was later banned), sending Kurt after Tony and Tony's girlfriend, fucking up their relationship, detracting from the storyline that Mercury was trying to establish.  He also brought this Rocker Clique into the story, something neither of us had planned, and so on.

Anyway, the kid couldn't write for shit, and after he was gone, We...I had to deal with Kurt somehow, and his 'Rocker' Clique.  It all worked out in the end, but....I hate being interrupted.
