I find it usually takes them 1 hour on the clock to respawn......Least in my game.

What means a little minute... Yeah, should be the same by me. My problem is, when I hit a girl, only two prefects come to get me, even if it's red, so I can't have the four at one time.

I think that's because they cover a certain "area"......

I've noticed the marbles despawn at different rates.....

Don't know what this depends on....Place ?  Time ?  Characters ?

When I used them to first get by "Defender of the Castle", I was real surprised to see them last through the mission......It seemed that they were there a long time.

Sometimes they disappear real quick.....But if you throw them out on the floor in the dorm, for example, seems like they last longer.  You can even throw them out before you send Jimmy to bed, and they are still there in the morning......

If three characters slip on them, they disappear. But their lifetime is, as you said, really depending on I-Don't-Know-What.

Don't know about that......I laid down 3 bags of marbles the first time I beat "Defender", and they lasted all the way through the mission......


And if you throw a couple of bags down in the dorm hall and hide in the trash, it seems to go on for quite awhile as they slip and fight.......

 Well, there is some truth to what Mercury said.  Usually people can slip on the marbles 3 times if they are fighting you.  If they are fighting someone else they will slip at a much faster rate.  The marbles will also last several game hours if no one slips on them.

Yeah, but it sure pisses me off throwing them around in town, they seem to disappear at a faster rate over there, even if nobody goes down.
