Just hearing him yell "RUSELL SMASH!" and then a loud thud along with a few knocked out kids is pretty funny to me.

It's pretty good to have a bodyguard when you are fighting 4-5 persons. The greasers for example can take huge advantage of beeing a lot of people. A good bodyguard could easily take down or at least detain a couple of them.

Hire Russell and take him outside the Library and watch him do some action.

Its funny watching the nerds square up to him and try slap him with their sissy slaps LOL.

When you have Russell with you near the library they try and attack Jimmy on sight since he is hanging around with Russell and they hate bullies.

Russell can be found near the school gates,outside the boys dorm(where the rubber band is) and on the parking lot.

Point is: Bodyguards help, you just suck at helping them when they need it. Do you really expect them to have the same AI as a human? No, they will naturally need help when ganged up on by 3 or more characters (unless they're Nerds). Help them out every once in a while and you'll have a solid fighter.
