Lawn Mowing Theme in The Warriors
« on: August 11, 2013, 07:33:51 PM »
This is rather strange. I was going through the music in the Warriors, and I found the lawn mowing theme in there. http://www.mediafire.com/?e2nm341vg9k50w5
It's not even used anywhere in the game. Sounds a bit different than the one in Bully.

The Warriors uses the renderware engine.

3 titles use the EXACT renderware engine and were all developed "Back to Back":

- GTA SA
- Bully
- The Warriors

R* North handled GTA SA, Rockstar Vancouver handled Bully and R* Toronto handled The Warriors. Rockstar has been known to "Share" code with other offices, so its very likely vancouver at one point in development of both titles, sent code of bully to toronto to help speed up game development, and somehow the lawn mower theme was also brought over.

This is seen alot. GTA SA data is found in bully and vice versa. Some people keep saying the skateboard found in GTA SA was meant to be used in game, but i disagree. I highly think the skateboard found in the game code was actually from Bully. All 3 companies shared data code during the development of those 3 titles.

What i can say off the top of my head:

Rockstar North shared GTA SA driving and other game mechanics with Rockstar Vancouver, and Vancouver shared some unknown data with Toronto for The Warriors and all back around.

All 3 titles were in development at the same time and SA was released first, warriors second and bully third.

And it still happens with RAGE. Three of the death songs from Red Dead Redemption can be found in Max Payne 3.

Yep. If you look it up, both GTA V, Max Payne 3 and RD Redemption were all in development at the same time.

This is also why in late 2012 hackers on GTAforums found many GTA V vehicle handling files in max payne 3 data files. You always can find various things rockstar never intended to let loose in one game, in another.

I remember when i was looking in the code of these 3 games they was having something that was actually really similar, Most of the config files are equal or similar.

The skateboard was what you say residenteviloutbreak

They make the skate in GTA Sa because they was changing Some "Jobs" Or how you say codes.
The skate is similar to the one in Bully. But is slightly different in handling If i remember fine, It seems like they like to exchange things :P

It could have also been a placeholder for the Turnbull AC's section.

Almost all "Same Engine" rockstar games use the same folder layouts. Almost.

This is bully:  ( i could only find this photo, so its not perfect. I removed the game from my PC so i cant show a better one. This was taken off of this forum)

and here is the SA folder:

They are pretty similar. They just have many of the content renamed. Anyways, what im getting at is, the layout was made similar so rockstar studios could easily share code to speed up the process. So say, Rockstar Vancouver made an AWESOME new handling file for a bike or something, they could send it to rockstar north for use in Sanandreas and north could put the code in sanandreas with little trouble.

Thanks. That shows it alot better. They are practically the same folder layout and structure.

I can only assume The Warriors is the same.
