Hahaha, YES! I can't believe I never posted about this. I've had that happen very often. Sometimes I can do it on purpose. Try throwing an egg at a wall at an angle. Like, throw it almost parallel to the wall, but at a slight angle so the egg just knicks the wall. It will most likely be deflected a bit and land on the floor away from the wall.
I've also seen eggs thrown that gently touch the ground and almost slide across the ground and eventually pop. I've seen the same thing happen to slingshot pebbles too.
