He said "season finale", so I think he means the last episode of the season.

Yes. Strong emphasis on the word season.
I'll continue the series. But I feel like wrapping up season 1 after the first year (2014-2015).
Gonna continue yearly with about 5 - 6 episodes per year or so. They take a long time to make.
