Suggestions & Feedback / Re: Extended gender options
« on: August 26, 2015, 07:06:25 PM »
I just think it would be a nice surprise for anyone who doesn't fit the male and female gender options, to come here and see that this board acknowledges that they exist, and gives them the option to state their own gender in the place where everyone else does. It gives the person a feeling of acceptance, of validation, and we all need that at some point or another.

I can't really do that, I have the Steam edition of the game. I can try uninstalling and reinstalling, but I fear this game may be too old to sync its saves with the Steam Cloud.

The bottom of the home page says that B-B had the most users on December 01, 2014. What happened?

Hey everyone,

I was setting up my account a bit more when I noticed that the gender dropdown menu allows for the option to be left blank, to be set to male or to be set to female. I suggest that we add at least an "other" option, or we could take a page out of The Indie Stone's book and have a completely inclusive list (which I will be very surprised if there is not some kind of code already written somewhere online to do that which we can just copy and paste into the forum's code here. Alternatively, we could ask very very nicely and maybe they'll let us take a look at their code). Either way, I think it would be a positive addition, even if it's a bit token.

Alright well now everything I know is fucking wrong apparently because Shop is working absolutely fine. I suppose it could be that when I was getting ready to turn the LS it assumed that by pushing it to the right edge it thought I was turning the stick to the right? Agh, whatever. My main problem now is that it's so damn unstable that it crashes if I look at it wrong. And yes, I did try the patch. I couldn't install it, so I had to extract all of the data and dump it into my Bully folder, and that solved my problems for a while but it just goes back to crashing now because why the fuck not!

I love this game, but I hate this port.

That'd be brilliant, AlphaTech, thanks!

So I figured out that in Shop, you actually have to do the motions BEFORE the prompt comes up, meaning that not only do you have to spend at most two of your three tries figuring out what they'll want you to do, you then have to get everything right on the last try. Christ, Rockstar really dropped the ball here.

God I hate the quicktime events in Shop. It tells me to turn the Left Stick clockwise. I do it. Mash X. I do it. Mash A. I do it. Turn Left Stick counterclockwise. I do i-- what the hell? Why didn't it register? Try again. Okay. LS counterclockwise. Right-- no! It did it again! Okay. Last chance. LS counterclock-- PISS! And that's it?! I failed the class because of one stupid prompt that doesn't work right? You've got to be kidding! I really hope this is fixed if Rockstar ever makes a sequel.

what's your favourite genre to write about?

Well, I've written a few stories centred around a fictional US government agency named the National Bureau of Paranormal Affairs, so paranormal fiction's my thing. That's probably what I'd be known for, if anything, which isn't too likely.  I like writing action scenes, as you can go into lots of detail to make the scene seem intense and calculated, or rush from one event to the next to give it a more fast-paced feel. Generally I just try to make whatever I write interesting for the reader, with a good bit of humour mixed in.

Hey everyone!

I'm DominateEye, a general internet person who games and eats. I'm living in the UK, though I was born in Texas, and I'm a writer by nature. My first forays into gaming were Steambot Chronicles and Bully, both on PS2, so I've got a soft spot for them. I sometimes stream games on my Twitch account (check profile) and I occasionally make something game-related on my YouTube channel (check profile). If you need something written for a mod or a mission, throw a message my way and if I'm online, I'll see what I can do. Cheers!

Requests / Auto-Helmet on Moped
« on: August 11, 2015, 01:13:31 PM »
Hey everyone,

I was wondering if someone could make a mod which automatically equips a helmet on Jimmy's head when he gets on a moped and removes it when he gets off, like in GTA. I have no idea of the complexity of such a mod, but I hope it's not so complex that no one could ever do it. If anyone builds one or knows of a mod like this, could you post a link in reply? Thanks very much!
