As long as you don't get into enough of an arguement with yourself to start a fist-fight it's all good...

Good to see the board back up and running folks.

The abilities of moderators varies with websites - but quite often you'll find that moderators have permissions to approve new members in order to reduce any workload for the admins.

I do agree that perhaps a little more activity from the would be ideal - but any decision for new admins / moderators should be taken by the (active) admin team.

It's possible.

I just noticed away back in February Otis Qadri asked what "A" stands for - it's "Active"...

Grand Theft Auto Mods / Re: GTA3 : Liberty Unleashed

I can no longer play Liberty Unleashed as I'm on WinXP - and they removed all support for XP in the last update a couple of weeks ago.

PS2 and Wii here - and waggle controls make almost everything harder than it needs to be, lol.

For me Consumo was only difficult the first few times - once you get the hang of it, it's rather easy.

Forum Questions/Help / Re: Logging in
« on: June 02, 2016, 05:38:23 AM »
It's just whenever I launch a new browser session that I need to log back in since the downtime - I tend to peek in before & after work.

Before the downtime it would stay logged in happily - now I need to re-log every browser session.

Somewhat relevant, but since the downtime we're having to log in every time - even when choosing to stay logged in.

It would be nice to get this sorted, but given the suspicious activity the hosts picked up I can see why it's been removed for now.  Here's hoping we're sorted soon.

I'm not sure I'll get there myself any time soon, lol.

Suggestions & Feedback / Let's do something special for Chuck
« on: May 26, 2016, 03:38:34 AM »
He was very much at the heart & soul of the board during his time here, so I figured we should do something nice in his memory every so often.

I did notice that he only had a couple of hundred posts to go to reach 40k, but it feels like it would be a bit of a cop-out to simply round that up.

I was thinking that - if it's possible - we have the board go to a "party" theme on his birthday (if anyone knows when it is) and a darker more sombre theme on the anniversery of his passing.

Thoughts or suggestions anyone?

No problem at all - I'm just glad to see things back up & running.

Grand Theft Auto Mods / Re: GTA3 : Liberty Unleashed

Oops - I completely forgot this topic.

I've played around in both this and VCMP since then.  There's still activity (VCMP is the more active) - but you have to kinda be on the lookout for spawn-killing idiots who won't even let you move.

On Liberty City Unleashed I actually went off and made dinner just so one guy who was just running around doing instant spawn kills would get bored.  Eventually he started moaning that I wasn't "fighting him" and left the server - only to pop back in after 20 seconds.

Hints, Tips and Cheats / Re: Tagging Glitch?
« on: April 27, 2016, 03:54:41 AM »
There is another tagging glitch where one of the rooftop tagging spots isn't actually against the wall as it should be, but quite a few feet away from it.

For me this seems to occur about 50% of the time, so while not consistent, it's often enough to potentially cause issues.

Anti-Bully / Re: Bully on the wii
« on: March 22, 2016, 02:51:20 PM »
It's only selected games that work with the Gamecube & classic controllers (such as Smash Bros & Mario Kart).

I do agree that Bully should've had the option for using the Classic Controller or the GC pad - if only for being able to use the right-stick for free view manipulation (a reason the Gamecube Twilight Princess is far superior to the Wii version)
