Hi everyone... I've seen a few videos where they're recording themselves using the entire fighting style (instead of the simple shift + alt moves) [the combos that jimmy doesn't have access to when you change his fighting style] such as the johnny normal attacks. Is there a lua function that lets you switch, or what?

I want to convert my mod to work in free roam with STimecycle instead of ArcRace1.lur, however I think that variables i store will be reset every time the script runs. I define all of my vars in MissionSetup() for ArcRace1.lur, is there any type of equivalent in STimecycle.lua?

In other words, I want a way to run something once (only when the script is started) similar to missionsetup().

It's a simple mod. It'll remove that annoying sound of someone struggling when they're grabbed in a fight. It's not really useful aside from that, I just felt i'd share it.

I have a quick question- In many LUA packs that allow to play anim with pedsetactionnode... i know a lot of the animations are in scripts.img and world.img but how can i get the animations with no reference in the misson files?

LUA Scripting Help / Knowing which animation group to load?

I noticed that when trying to load animations such as fighting styles through LUA, Jimmy will become T-pose until the pedestrian associated with that animation loads the animation themselves.

I know how that works, but what I'm clueless about is knowing which animationgroup to load for which animation. For example, I want to load /Global/2_01/Anim/EdnaShrug, however LoadAnimationGroup(2_01) doesn't work. How can I find the name of the group assoicated with this animation?

Hi. I've made yet another LUA script. This one will cycle through every song in the game using the arrow keys!

Controls:
LEFT and RIGHT arrow to navigate through the song list
DOWN arrow to set the current song as the new walking theme.

LUA Scripting Help / PedSetActionNode Looping

The question is, is it possible? I understand It would be possible using timer.Create in LUA but this would be greatly inefficient. Any other ways of doing so?

Also... I have an action where the pedestrian will smoke on a wall. However it does not function properly. The character will simply lean on the wall, play a few parts of the entering animation before discarding it.

    PedSetActionNode(gPlayer, anim1[navig2], anim2[navig2]);

Bullworth Academy Remade! (BULLY: Source)

I am not actual 100% possible sure that Bully: Source is applicable name... it is not an independent game and only feature is a map, so this name is in question... but anyway, this is name which stick for now...

Recently, I have remaking Bullworth Academy in the source engine. (HL2, CSS, etc.) and testing it on Garry's Mod, the building have their interior you teleport through by walk into the doors.

It is a completely remake from scratch, it is not a port from the game, so differences and inconsistencies are inevitable!
only the textures are ripped from the game, all of the fabrications were made by hand, I don't know how much of the school I'll be able to do, and I am aiming for the entire school, this would be good... i also were thinking to made a night and rainy version.  :happy:

It is FAR from complete, these screenshots, along with the download and the video don't really reflect the final map, I don't think I'll do every interior of the game either, and I don't know how to rip models directly from bully, only materials.

Anything is subject to change, the skybox are a placeholder, and so is, the general shading, though ALPHA 2's skybox + lighting seems to be ideal.

Q&A

Q: How long did it take to make the Boys' Dorm and Girls' dorm?
A: 5 hours, excluding breaks.

Q: How much the bully will be done?
A: I can not say for sure yet, due to engine limitations. My current target is to entire school. :cool:


Q: How will the different variants differ?
A: I may make different weathered ones... (Fog, rain, snow, night, etc.) Sadly, I don't know how to seamlessly do this in the source engine in the same map, since the lighting are pre-render.

Auditory Experiences / The Ambient sounds of the Boys' Dorm...

Anyone else notice if you do go to that boys' dorm and stand next to a door you can hear the first cut-scene between Jimmy, Petey and Gary reversed... You can hear Gary talking about ADD and Petey being Femmboy, it is quite weird but I suppose it was just Rockstar being lazy with sound.

Does anybody here know how I change weather effect? Deleting or modifying edit:*timecyc.dat* have done nothing and no does effect game in any way!

I cannot find which file controls the, weather currently..

Bully 1 Discussion / Anyone think the PS2 version looked better?

I really liked the textures in the PS2 version, not to mention the fact that the colour temperature was much colder and had a more atmospheric feel to it, especially on Halloween.

Also the sounds were much more intense, they're really weird on the Scholarship Edition, or maybe it's just me.

Anyone else agree? :/
