Im new to this community and especially modding

I put this into the script:
PedSetDamageGivenMultiplier(gPlayer, 2, 5.7)
PedSetDamageGivenMultiplier(gPlayer, 0, 3)
PedSetDamageTakenMultiplier(gPlayer, 2, 0.75)
PedSetDamageTakenMultiplier(gPlayer, 0, 0.5)

It does changing Jimmy's damage taken/given but, it's only works if i starts a new game. how to fix this?
