Bully Modding / Android port modding?
« on: May 09, 2025, 03:15:35 PM »
A few years ago there was a modified version of the Android port that supported mods (version 1.0 0.19). The way you would install mods was by going into the game's data folder, creating a folder called "BullyOrig" and putting your mods there. Later there was also a patched version of 1.0.0.18 that did the same. However, those versions of the game are not compatible with modern versions of Android and/or modern SOCs. Is there any way to install mods on the current version of Bully: Anniversary Edition for Android? I've seen people on YouTube showcasing new mods for the Android version, so there's got to be a way to install them. Now the question is: do they install it on the current version of the game, or do they just run the old versions on an old phone?
And if the latter is the case, could someone make patch the APK for the current version of the game (1.4.299) to support modding in the same way people did with those older versions?

Modding Questions/Help / Re: Can't get script mods to work on Android

Android/data/com.rockstargames.bully/files/BullyOrig/Scripts

You forget com.rockstargames.bully folder
When I said "I went to the game's data folder", I meant "com.rockstargames.bully", not the folder called "data". I can confirm that the files are in the correct location, but the mods don't work.

Modding Questions/Help / Can't get script mods to work on Android
« on: July 07, 2021, 06:58:18 PM »
I tried to install some skin/fighting style selector mods, but for some reason, they don't work, even though I followed the instructions. I went to the game's data folder, opened the "files" folder inside, created a "BullyOrig", created a "Scripts" folder inside "BullyOrig", then moved the script files to "Scripts", but the game still uses the default script. Is there any other step I have to take in order to make the game use the scripts in the data folder rather than the ones in the obb file? I run the game on a Galaxy Note 10 Lite via VMOS. I tried an Android 7 virtual machine and an Android 5 virtual machine, but mods don't work on either. The same thing used to happen when I was playing on a Galaxy S8 running Android 9.
