Modding Questions/Help Archives / Re: Modding without Hex editor.
« on: June 16, 2012, 01:59:42 PM »
Hex Editing can be frustrating because you have to keep the file at the same file size, meaning you cannot add your own bytes, you must amend existing ones, and there aren't many powerful tools for modding Bully, but is 'Bully File Editor' by MadmaN which allows you to edit non-hex files in a Office Excel kind of way...

Yes, there are various files in the config folder to tweak the game according to your preference and change pedestrian behavior using Notepad, but don't expect to be able to change fighting styles or anything really interesting with it.

If you humiliate them near the boys dorm, they usually run behind the boys dorm and cry, maybe its scripted to be that way, i'm not 100% sure but it has happened several times

Hints, Tips and Cheats / Cheats are still present in the PC version
« on: June 16, 2012, 06:01:11 AM »
If you plug in an Xbox 360 controller, Hold the equivalent buttons to the console cheats, by their actions, the cheat will work.

Example, while the 360 controller is your primary control device, you can hold Mouse2 and drag the mousewheel down [which is the equivalent of R2 on the PS2] and it will activate the health cheat.

This also applies to holding Mouse2 and pressing the UP button 3 times to get weapons, and up down up down to get unlimited ammo, this probably isn't really useful, however, as you can simply get a trainer.

It also works vice-versa, if you have keyboard as your primary control while a 360 controller is plugged in, you can enter the cheats as normal.

Not really useful, as said before, but it's probably good to know for some people.

Actually, there is a file in config/dat called attitude.dat which handles the relationships between each clique, so you could change 'Adore', 'Dig', 'Dispassionate' and 'Averse' to 'Abhor' meaning they will attack on sight, you can even make a clique fight memebers of the same clique, I do hope i expalined this sufficiently.

However, as MadMan said, the lua version may be more accurate to the Rumble.

Yeah I heard the dubs they sound weird, but I dislike perverted anime.

Anyway, I have had no luck removing the weapon wheel, sadly.

Hey.

I assume this mod hasn't been done before as I noticed many videos where the video is zoomed in to hide the HUD, so i found a way to disable it, apart from the weapon selector. It is my first mod.

I was wondering if anyone has found out how to alter the weather, and by that, I mean, trigger it to rain or snow. If you have let me know  :)
