I noticed the board is very inactive while I'm active. Probably because of our time zones. The only ones I usually talk to more is Kovn, DaBOSS, lemon and a few others. Mostly people with GMT +8 time zone. But I noticed the others are inactive while I am active.

In my country, now is 6:30 PM
-
It is 2:45 pm here.
-
I think I'm UCT-6.
-
est I guess.
-
Eastern Standard Time, Baby!
it's currently 12:04 pm.
-
GMT+1
-
(Compare wit my post time) for me it's 1:47 PM
-
3:46 PM here.

This is really not being very informative, unless you either ---
A) Indicate what Time Zone you are in....
OR
B) Indicate where you are from the Prime Meridian (aka GMT or UCT)
Hours from the Prime Meridian (Greenwhich Mean Time or Universal Coordinated Time) should be rendered as minus (-) hours to the West of it, or plus (+) hours to the East of it. The Prime Meridian is the Earth's zero degrees of longitude. The International Meridian Conference of 1884 named an imaginary line drawn through Greenwhich, England, as the prime meridian.
See the following map below to determine what to post as your time zone.....
(http://alien-homepage.de/weather_start/current_site_template_%20expl_english/weathersite%20general%20template/images/timezones/gif/large_images/all/timezones_text.jpg)
Giving the time where you are presently is useless, as that constantly changes.
-
I only use this board sometimes. Not every day like I used to.
-
UTC-05
-
I'm in the GMT zone. Not in Greenwich, but in Newcastle.
-
Time on posts can be set to whatever zone via Profile -> Look and Layout.
-
Um...Think in UCT-5.....
But you can set your own time in your profile.

Well the post time (this: « on: Today at 06:47:43 pm ») is local to you, so you can compare that with the time the person posted in their message.
So if my post time is « on: Today at 11:45:43 pm » and my message says "9:45 pm" then you'd get I'm 2 hours behind you.

It's now 6:25 am here, so using your logic, we are 7 hours apart.
Now, I know you are in the USA, so that's not possible.
-
Wait what? Chuck, you don't live in USA?

Actually nvm. Chuck is partially correct.
By the time anyone reads a new post, it's possible they are reading it a few minutes, or even hours later. But from what DaBoss has told me before, he has the same time zone.

I meant compare with the time in the post, and the time posted. Those don't change, and the difference between them will remain the same forever.
« Reply #20 on: This time is local to you »
The time posted in the message is local to me.
The difference between them is how far apart we are.
Compare the time this message has as it's "Reply ### on time" time with 6:29 PM, that is our difference.

I give up. This isn't even worth going on about.
So....We shall let the members decide what ever method they want to use.
It really doesn't matter to me anyhow, since I don't care much where anybody really is, cause everybody is right here in my computer. :cc_detective:

If you have your Bully-Board time zone set correctly (In the look and layout section, that you get to by going to your profile then to "modify profile") then it should work like this:

Isn't B-B's local time this one?
-
^ Well that time is what time it is currently, so that time doesn't really help us since obviously time always changes. The post time though that I pointed out in my image in blue is what time that post was posted in your time zone though so that can help us, then the time I showed in red is what time it was for the poster at the time of the post, so both of those times can be used together to find how many hours are in between you and the poster.
