This mod is like an in-game trainer. It brings many options for you to use.

This was the beta/preview for version 4 from long ago, but was abandoned. I no longer work on this version of Super Mod, and the next version of Super Mod (IF there is a next) will be Super Mod 5, and not 4, as it will not be like the beta of 4 at all and will be it's very own new thing.




Super Mod 0.5, 1 & 2

These versions are now unavailable for download due to me stupidly deleting them and replacing their downloads with Version 3. Though, there really isn't much reason you'd want to play them as 3 does everything they do, but better, and even more. I'm not 100% sure one what that is but I ASSUME it's a fighting move from his fighting style. The fighting styles aren't working 100%. Once they are, the mod will be at V1. (Right now it's at V0.5 as in glitchy/beta)

Overall I did enjoy the mod and it's a lot of fun to play around with.

You should add gary, darby, russell boss fighting style  :hmm: and a hidden interior teleporter maybe? Like some guy who made teleport mod in here. And weather selector too. That would be cool and things like johnny haymaker and darby 6 hits and such...    :laugh:

Problem with Super Mod V1, I don't know if it's the mod, or just something I have open, every 20 minutes the game stops working, I've tried opening it through steam, or just opening the Bully.exe itself, still no dice. Any solution, or is it because the mod is still new?

Try to uninstall the Super Mod for a moment and see if it still crashes. If it does then it may be. Still sorta glitchy.

With Super Mod though... I could still do that.

The taunts have been discarded from the project for now. Whenever I feel like updating the mod I will add it. I may just give the mod to someone I trust coz I'm barely working.

The model was set to a model other then the players, thus freezing.

I just had a big break.

I have made my primary objective 2.0.
It should be done soon!
At last after one month now it's done
Didn't work on it during that month, it was simply a break. The mod started yesterday as a fresh script (10/14/2013)

I ain't checked this topic in a while and It seems to be going well, keep up the good Work DaBOSS, Youz Amazing bro. Can't wait for all the new things, as I barely have a computer as it is being fixed I won't be able to try it out anytime soon, but I can hopefully do it in the near future.

I rarely mod anymore, but the days I do mod it's all day and hardcore. Wrote probably like 300+ lines today. + a shit load of glitches to deal with. It's tommarow for sure now. No biggie though, still soon. :D
SWEGTA has agreed to review it again to, so there will be a video.

Note: Downloads of the mod between 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM may be glitched up. Was updating it after download uploaded. Now it is good though.

^ DP: Read the 'Controls.txt' file in the .zip.
You use the mouse/right-stick to browse it and down arrow/d-pad to confirm it.
Left/Right arrow keys/d-pad to browse the functions.

Note: The mod is better with gamepad, but it still usable with keyboard & mouse.

Hello Daboss.

I aint been on BB in ages and in V2 it had
:crashes with Mission selecter
:Weapons turned the mod off
:Stuck on game loading screen after completed mission

And I give it a 10/10. Im not fussed about the bugs. It happend on Fallout nexus allot and a few of my FO mods.

-Mission Selector crashes when selecting the last option sometimes.
-Supposedly the mission selector doesn't work, it does for me but as seen above someone reported it doesn't.
-The menu requires 2 presses when going from the teleport menu to a menu to the right/left of it.
-Vehicles often crash when attempting to enter.

^ You can, but I just don't think I did a good job at explaining it's use. Press up to set a location, and down to go there. You can set up to 10 locations. In 3.0 you can do the same, set a location and go. In 3.0 though there will be pre-set locations as well which I didn't include in V2.

Meaning that you don't have to register at the forum to download mods. It's optional.

When the table menu is set to music, simply add a line to the music playing function :

SoundSetHighIntensityStream(MUSICTABLESELECTIONHERE)

Do it with the mid too.
Its an easy fix.

I know it was realy strictly but still menu control isn't comfortable. I can't fast ad HP for Jimmy, I must use x+page left. In 2.0 you should use only page left and mouse. I'm sorry if I offended you.

Good job, rofl. Never update my profile... that is actually from a while ago when I first planned it. I gave up on it shortly after that announcement. Now it's been about a month and I am starting again, but with more dedication towards the project so it's pretty much confirmed now. No release date (yet)

About the things I would want to see in the next patch, now I am aware that there is already enough to be made but this could be for patch 3.2
Some characters in Bully, they have accessories right? For instance, Algernon. He wears glasses or even Bo, he has a baseball cap. Can it be possible for you to make some changes in the future for accessories? (Wearable accessories?) Or wearable accessories for any character? Either way, will be fine :jajaja:

I should be able to figure that out. I'll include in 3.1 if I can figure it out.

Additionally, there will be a STAT modifier in 3.1 and possibly a scripter tool that allows you to make events and conditions. For example, you can set it so when a certain ped is dead the player gets a certain amount of money. Or when a ped gets to a certain location something happens. Tons of combinations with that, will be explained later if I make it though.

I have grasped the basic and advanced witheen that subject.
Now, all I have left is to make a working system for it, so I can combine a failed function and I can make a complete mission like Rockstar did, as Missions use those conditions tons of times.

BUT what I was saying, is in-game so you'll have a menu that lists things like "Ped In XYZ" or "Ped Is KO" or things like that, then after you choose one it let's you set it's attributes (for Ped In XYZ you'd choose the ped, then the location, and with Ped Is KO you'd choose the ped being KOed) then it'd let you choose an event. The event list having "Give Player Money" or things like that. Get it?

I bought Bully in the start of December when it went on sale on steam, and I've really enjoyed it. (It's possibly my favorite Rockstar game)

And after I've nearly 100% completed this game I decided to spice things up by checking out some mods for it.
I've lurked this board these last few weeks and trying different mods, and this is by far my favorite.

I wonder though, is there anyway to edit faction respect? I really miss students starting random fights with me...

Second of all, yes. There are ways to do this. The best way would be to code a short Lua script since that is the most effective way to change the respect.
There are other ways, but this is by far the easiest one.

I bought Bully in the start of December when it went on sale on steam, and I've really enjoyed it. (It's possibly my favorite Rockstar game)

And after I've nearly 100% completed this game I decided to spice things up by checking out some mods for it.
I've lurked this board these last few weeks and trying different mods, and this is by far my favorite.

I wonder though, is there anyway to edit faction respect? I really miss students starting random fights with me...

Real easy, and I can easily add it to a Super Mod update. There WAS going to be a Super Mod IV but... decided not to. Might do it anyway though since you said it was 'by far your favorite' and that's what I love doing, makin people happy with my mods.

Boss, each mission uses TONS of animations, even if you dont notice it while playing.
Simply take your decompiled scripts and search for the animations.
You'll find dozens in no time.

^ Already did, that goes along with the Ped Stat Editor as 'animation scale' is one of the stats. It's anything in the pedstats.dat.

Ped Stat Editor maybe to be added in a v4.1 but... I only know a few of that stat's numbers so just animation speed.

Sex mod or any other kind will never be released or created.
I believe that Chrissy and Aj won't allow it aswell the mod maker needs to create the animations and put them in the game which is not possible for anyone outside of rockstar at the moment.

I'm happy to see your work and continuing work on the Super Mod but: I want to echo what a previous user had said on the previous page and that is: is it possible to integrate "hand-holding" (whatever you'd term it) into the latest Super Mod version.

I'm well aware there are possible scripts and/or LUA edits that allow for this but it'd be cool to just choose in-game which person you could hold hands with, with the press of a button and similarly, dismiss them or get them to stop hand-holding with the same button. I don't think such a mod exists and probably because it's not a very popular request.

Anyway - I've passed on all the other mods (already-created and upcoming) and only played your mod because it's simply great and added a lot of life to the game. Easily best mod and honestly a lot of dedication for a game that didn't have a big community initially nor a big welcoming on PC.

Yeah - I always found it odd the vanilla game never had the hand-holding feature and you could only do it in an errand and a few missions. It'd be good to have it in this mod or as a completely separate, new mod (if it's easier and/or possible).

This mod bugs my sprinting. Before I installed it, I could tap the run key really fast to sprint faster. Now all it does is bug the run animation. I can still run though.

Daboss is using that so if you use another model/style he runs without fighting first.

The mod (and the run fix feature) starts working even before you enable the menu or use any of the functions. If you don't like it ask daboss if he can disable it.

Super Mod 4 allowed you to add your own code (and with that you could launch your own scripts) to run along with the mod. Also to add your own functions that go along with the selectors/spawners/etc.

Download: Super Mod 4 (http://www.mediafire.com/download/dwyxmw2mmwec6xw/SuperMod4+%28BETA%29.zip)
Just modify the SuperModCustom.lua file, compile it, and put it in the Scripts.img along with all the other files in the Advanced Install folder. (Make sure you only have one SuperModCustom.lur though)

Add another compiled script, (for example, you had a source LUA file called Cheese.lua and you compile it into Cheese.lur) you can use LaunchScript("Cheese.lua") to launch it. just add that in SuperModCustom. the comments in the file should tell you were it goes.
and if your source code (.lua) is a different name then your compiled code (.lur) I'm not 100% sure on which you put in launchscript. probably the source file, and i think if you use a hex editor you can see the name of the source file in the beginning.

Also I can't finish SM4 now because i lost the source code.

The beta was fairly close to the final product if I remember correctly.
I just wanted to add some voices and additional fighting moves for the final version. Maybe there was more, I don't remember.

I have one of the sources that you shared with me but I don't know how recent a build it was. I can give you that if you want and you can pretty much rebuild from there what you were going to add...etc.

This is one of the reasons why I fully support the creation of decompilers since they have legitimate uses in cases like this and to aid in modding. Got into a really nasty argument the other night on xfire with a m8 of mine about decompilers as this m8 stated that only pirates and thiefs want decompilers and want to take the easy way out by decompiling someone elses work to claim it as their own....when in fact this sort of thing is rarely ever done due to how HARD it is to decompile any compiled script/app/game.

If you, or anyone does create a working decompiler, I think it could be used for good. Just as long as you keep it really safe. Maybe don't even distribute it, if someone asks you to decomp something they can send it to you and then you give them the source if you see that they are trustworthy and deserve it. Since you are probably the most trusted modder on here (madman)

Where did you put your table.insert? One of the functions for the SuperModCustom.lua is executed repeatedly, and one is only executed once. Your table.insert needs to go in the setup function as it only is meant to be called once.

Boss i got problem with super mod 4 BETA      1. Why i playing too lag after 5minute in bully  when i add some my tableinsert menu to your mod!                                                           2. Why when i add some table insert to menu super mod 4 .the code my textprint too many? If you dont understand i will show you the photo.                                                Ok only that's 2 the problem i got  about i adding table insert .

Pretty sure the problem lies within the fundamental streak of the LUA.control, IIRC. You need to check it out with a program called "seohytoobgib" on GTA Forums.

Where did you put your table.insert? One of the functions for the SuperModCustom.lua is executed repeatedly, and one is only executed once. Your table.insert needs to go in the setup function as it only is meant to be called once.

i put it in Run customization function! but for the table insert! i give in the new function!

RUN_Customization:
This runs repeatedly along with Super Mod. (Like in a repeat loop)

question : 1. how to add my custom code style to you table style or etc,
                     example: i adding russel semi boss style and gord style to your style table !

Problem: 1. why some other text(except your supermod) just only appear 1 milesecond
                   and then suddenly hide
               
               2. why when i use other Fighting style (not model) from your style on table, i just laughing when
                   i press lock on and jump button? can you fix it please i has already add laughing to my
                   custom button!

Super Mod 4 isn't going to be anything like it's beta. It's going to be significantly changed up I beleive. I'm not 100% sure on how but it will be different, and I will probably create an application, just for the mod so that you can easily create code for the customscript.lua file.

Did the harass movement is placed on the Space button? How can yo use it? it doesn't work for me. Oh and Greasers like johnny, lucky, ricky, and peanut use the G_Melee_A Stance when I installed this mod.

It dosen't look like F_Node() was ever called/activated.

If I were you (this goes to the entire Super Mod community) I'd wait for the REAL Super Mod 4 because it will be a lot different and most likely have an application that will generate a customscript.lua for you by clicking some buttons and entering in some fields.

Super Mod Final will likely not be released for a long time, this is due to multiple things

- Watch Dogs soon (yay)
- This is my final mod, so it needs to be excellent
- Been trying to work on my C++ skills lately

I will release more official info on Super Mod Final soon, after I think about it a while first. Probably today or tommorow an approximate release date will be told.

I hope this final supermod is good.  Maybe add somemore other weapons features. Overall it was great. Maybe some vehicle modifications like jumping and stuff.   I was thinking that a clique maker would be cool, like add whoever you want and make a clique of your own with differently dressed people.

That would require model editing and there isn't enough model clones of people to make multiple meshes with different outfits. The models in this game is one mesh unlike Gta IV where you can change clothes on a ped.

Exciting announcement: I am making a new Super Mod :D
Reason being the last one kind of bombed pretty hard imo.
I won't announce any details about features for now but trust me it will be better and it will be as simple as putting in the Scripts.img, no other bullshit.

A problem I am having is deciding a name, as the previous one was called "Final" and then switched to "Mod manager" after realizing that I messed up on it. Also 4's release was kind of wacky as I only released the beta of it, and now also foolishly removed it from mediafire D: Also did the same with Super Mod 1 and 2. So 3 is the only one up... but just because it is not on mediafire doesn't mean it never existed.
If I call it 4, it'll be odd because it is not like the beta of 4.
If I call it final, it'll be odd because I already released one called Final even though it was tooken down quick.
If I call it 5, it'll be odd because it'll seem like I just skipped 4 (Which I kind of did but still)

Though I did use a ped table I already created for the super mod, though that would of only tooken about 5-10 minutes max to make again... just a lil script to generate all the info from default.ide.

Because the original mod didn't. The guy who made that video has 2 mods running at once. If you want a perfect mod, you should learn to mod yourself.

I want to make more animations and fighting moves available in the mod, but it is tedious and annoying for me to find the action nodes. My goal though is to at least make all of the styles playable, meaning no auto attacks and at least 1 move for each style. I got a lot of other cool stuff planned as well, but it's a secret until the mod is finished.

I planned on allowing Super Sprint while you have the player style. The reason I made it like that is because the sprint button attacks with the other styles so this let's you run with the other styles better.

I planned on allowing Super Sprint while you have the player style. The reason I made it like that is because the sprint button attacks with the other styles so this let's you run with the other styles better.
It's possible to use a unused button to sprint like the Shoot button while holding no weapons. But you should do what you feel like is right for your mod

Should be able to add blocking, and release date is not official at all and this can change easily but if you want me to take a wild guess... a month from now. I COULD finish it in like a couple days but if I do that it won't end up good, gotta wait until I get more excited so it turns out good.

Ya... this mod will be great if/when it gets released. I'm kind of depressed lately though so I've barely even worked on the mod. I won't rant about it here but if you even care feel free to pm me on xfire or Skype or steam or whatever and I'll bore you with the details.

Edit: I'm good now. I was probably being dramatic too, it only lasted 2 days.

You making it has nothing to do it. Besides you didn't even make the mission selector code, just the table for it. The table had many errors I had to fix but I'm still appreciative for your efforts and assistance. I used the same table for the versions past v2 but may of changed the actual selector code and accidentally fucked it up. I do know however that none of the super mod mission selectors fully worked before, and I now know how to fix them all thanks to MadmaN.

Fixing the run is actually pretty easy. I know DaBOSS knows this well but it basicly has to do with what AI you happen to be using and in this case as long as it is kept to PlayerAI the problem generally gets fixed. In the event the problem remains just simply change to a weapon like slingshot and you can run normally due to how the weapons are kinda hardcoded to auto use the same animations Jimmy uses.

Just my two cents worth since I am kinda on the rather bored side tonight and literally trying to find anything to do...got a render going atm anyways so I can't play any games while that finishes up and chat lags too horrible while rendering anything so....figured I would just post here and blow off some time...hehe.  :biggrin:

Well there is a problem with that mad... many styles use the sprint button to punch, and I had to make it so you run before you punch as it'd be very annoying if you had to punch before everytime you wanted to run.
To fix this issue, I repeatedly assigned the player AI which did the trick. The thing I overlooked though was that it will mess up the player style, so now I have to make it so it only repeatedly sets player AI when the player style is not in use.

Which can be done easily...

Okay I apologize... it wasn't called ReadMe.txt....it was called Controls.txt, so I totally understand why you would think it's not important to read that.

I'd like to update everybody on the progress of the newest addition to the super mod. It is no longer called "Super Mod Final" even though it may be the last one, I don't want to 100% confirm its the last one. Also it is no longer called "Super Mod 4". I know the beta of 4 was never finished, and this one would be the full version of it... but due to such dramatic changes between this and 4 (The same source isn't even used, it's completely it's own mod) I am calling it 5 so it has it's own identity. Also I'm going to update the main topic with the feature list of 5 as I progress in the mod, showing the progress of each feature. Note that I just restarted this mod very recently so not many are done yet... but I work fairly fast.

Here's some features I'll be putting in as well:
Make a npc fight another npc.
Make a npc fight you.
Make all your bodyguards fight a target.
and maybe even... Set up a team fight: First you will get to choose a couple peds for the first team, then when you are done choose ones for the other team, then they all fight.

I actually never allowed spawning of the player. I guess I could, but I'm not going to deal with fixing any problems it brings. If any Jimmy ped is kod, I'm pretty sure you restart from nurse's/hospital even if it wasn't the Jimmy you are controlling.

Soon I may make a preview video of the super mod to show progress and what not.

I have no release date, but at the latest it should be before February. But it could be even earlier.

Maybe it's posted now and you don't even know it! Nahh...

Super Mod 5 Update

Sadly.... this mod is now canceled. I lost the sources for 1 thing, and even if I got them back I just cannot keep working on this mod. Super Mod 3 is already out and works well, and I just plain am too bored with making Super Mod to do a good job at it. Besides, it's about time I start doing more than Super Mod anyways. Still expect nice mods to come from me, just not the Super Mod anymore.

Actually, I just canceled now because I am pretty sure it won't be finished by the original release date, nor for a long time, as I am working on other mods and doing other things. However I guess I can't say it's completely 100% canceled. Maybe it'll get released by surprise someday...

I like working on tons of mods, Super Mod is a fun mod to code sometimes. But lately it just seems like more work... I will still probably work on Super Mod, but unannounced, because I don't like the pressure of having a release date and all that.

I think I'm going to stop announcing mods until they are at least like 70% done or something to prevent disappointment.

For super mod 3, all you need to do is LaunchScript("SuperMod1.lua") in the script you want to launch it.
For super mod 4, all you need to do is LaunchScript("SuperMod.lua") in the script you want to launch it.
Additionally, make sure you have STimeCycle.lur as the default, unmodded STimeCycle.lur so it does not launch the mod.

I know this is veery old...But as long as I still use SuperMod,I'll post....
I've been using SuperMod,and I barely found any bugs,that counting the exploits...But the only one I still asking myself "Why does this even happens?"
When I play the mission "Rumble" (Johnny's fight),after I beat Vance,Peanut and Hal(Or was him Lefty?) in the alley,the game just freezes there,not like,the screen freezes...The cops are there,and Jimmy is standing there doing absolutely nothing...And I still don't understand why that happens...Anyone has any clues?

Jimmy is programmed to run to a trigger area that ends the cutscene and makes you go to the next part of the level (the cops chase). If you are using another fighting style which makes jimmy run slower, he will stop right before the trigger area, making it impossible to end the cutscene.

I believe this happens to you because Daboss added a code that allows you to run with Alt despite using another fighting style. This also makes Jimmy run slower so that explain why he can't reach said area on time.

I don't have any code for any new version of the new super mod yet. I may make it at some point but I don't know... so for now, no. But it's not definitely 100% cancelled because I would like to make a new one.

I got plenty of ideas for a new one but if I do start to make a new one, I won't announce the list of features or anything like that and I probably won't even make an official announcement that I'm making it until it's almost done because from past experience.... setting release dates and promising so many things is just stress. So for now it's just maybe I'll make it, maybe I won't, and I'll try to put as much awesomeness in it as I can without any specific confirmed functions.

If you want to request something you want in Super Mod 5, please post it in this topic and I'd love to consider it. If you have anything you specifically liked in past super mod versions, also leave them here so I know to continue to support them as well.

I actually already made both a respect changer and strafe changer in one of the unreleased versions of super mod. So that'll definitely be done again. With the teleports... yeah I'll try to get some more areas too.

I can provide you every interior with coordinates and areacode if you want... except the test area because I couldn't get that one working. You have to add it in main.lur if you want it working.  ;)

That's not a thing anymore. However Super Mod 4 offers functionality similar to it that allowed you to add your own code. All super mod manager really did was do the menu work for you but you still had to make the functions yourself. I thought it would be a good idea but it didn't really work out so... yeah.

 Here's what i would also like to see in the new super mod
- Animation Selector (insult,harass,laugh,trip someone etc etc)
- Be able to interact with people and speak while playing as a different ped
- Be able to replay non story missions (Mailbox armageddon,The Cheating,Galloway vs Hattrick) and Challenges (Dropout Challenge,Prep Challenge)

That's what he said some time ago...
So please,don't ask him if he will,because,as he says,putting a release date or promising something that he doesen't even knows if he's gonna make it...Is at one point,stressing,and on another point,it'd be dissapointing the people...It's like saying "I know I told you I was gonna do this,but I better not do it,sorry".

He may have changed his mind after like...3 months...But that's not the case until he says he'll do it or not.

Because they're not made ambient when I spawn them.

In Super Mod 5 (if there is one), I'll be sure to add more options for doing shit with the peds.
