I just noticed someone was missing, in fact had been for a while. Got me to thinking we should at least keep track of our comrades so they won't just fade away from our collective memories. So, here's a little list of those, present and recently past. Now, I'm only gonna go back to say, 2010 or so, and so obviously those who started with the board in 2006 will not be listed. I've included some modders here, but not all. Generally, anyone with 250 posts over the past couple of years will go on the list, and here we will list their status so we can all check in on them and not have to wonder, "Where'd whats-his-name go ?"
A = Active, Posts Regularly
S = Somewhat Active, Posts Irregular

Here in this thread, we can update the status as need be. Most of the ones considered 'MIA' haven't posted in a month or more, or have extensive 'away' time. just post on this thread of any changes, and I will make updates here. If any have been left off this list, let me know & I will add them.

That may be, Princess, and we are glad about that. Though, each and everyone of our BB Ladies brings their own special talents to the board here. We would be a far more barren place without our Special Girls here.

Yeah I was Algie Hunter (and that is still my username). I changed my display name because people were calling me Algie for short and I hate that fucker. :laugh:
Actually I'm close to the minimum 250. I'm not sure if I'll ever hit the ten of thousands of posts some of you guys have. But we'll see. ;)

But I think I built up on my posts quite quickly, it took awhile too get to 6,000.

As Chuck said, this takes time. It will take quite a while to hit 10,000 posts. Just getting 1000 posts is a real milestone.

It would be liable to be 6 generations or more back, since the last of my Irish ancestors left County Cork in 1862. Even further back for the Welsh, around c.1750.

I just changed my username to my name IRL. Well my middle name actually. I'm too paranoid to use my first name since not too many people have it. But at least Erik is part of my actual name, not Algie Hunter or ALG. :D

A few here know my real name and its quite a common name too. Sides....I have nothing to hide 8)
Anyways keeping track of members this way is a very good idea since I used a similar approach on my clan forums many times to keep track of who was who and their status....etc and had it laid out much the same as above but with extra stats for each person....kinda like a dossier of a type.
Far as usernames go...heh.....the one I have now is the same username/nick that I have used for probably more then 10 years now....will never change it since it fits me too well and...I would have to re introduce myself to the extremely large list of contacts that I have and I have no wish to bother doing that...would take forever and a day to do...lol.
If you want Chuck...I can crack out a quick graphic in photoshop that has the list that you have so far in the first post and send you the graphic one along with the .psd file so you or anyone else on the staff with photoshop (or even gimp) can modify it and use that as a "official" listing....since I have been literally trying to find new stuff to design as of late and have had very little in the way of creative ideas for the first time in many years.....
up to you anyways...heh.

That is one of the things that I specialize in as far as styles go. Have many many years experience with doing artwork that uses the grunge style....also happens to be my fav style along with Techy style.
P.S. Madman,I think the list would look bether without logo on the right side.
Since this is not finished yet....I will take ideas....tho the two logos was more just to mock it up more then anything and I actually planned on changing that part around so I am about 10 steps ahead of ya there m8! :biggrin:
I will however go with two logos but they will be different from eachother and the crest that you see in the mockup will not be used in the final. If I do decide to use the crest it will be in a subliminal way and will not be the first thing people focus on when looking at the pic. Since the goal of this is to give focus to the content of the piece rather then the art in the background....the art is just to give it a more fitting look and sort of old fashioned feel to it...nothing more.
I also might experiment with a customized version of the crest and use a stylized version for the girls and another style for the guys while keeping with the bully feel so....we will see...hehe. I may just do up a couple different versions and see who likes which best and we can go with that....I did also consider very highly a interactive flash version that can be used to store all member content and be integrated into the forums by using either a custom flash bbcode or linked to in the forum menu and have it open up in a popup window of some kind....and still be able to be edited by whomever has the username(s) and password(s) to edit and save to the member list. Since I can very easily just use a highly modified version of my own clan member dossier that happens to be written in flash since my clan site (currently offline atm) happens to be coded entirely in flash with each section its own flash movie that stores its data in a .xml file or flat file database which is more secure and more efficient then a mysql database that forums and other types of database driven sites tend to use.

See, a big part of the reason it's difficult to keep track of people is that half of them are always changing their profile name. I really don't know why they do that. It's like when women constantly move furniture around. I really don't understand that either.
Granted, I myself have altered my profile name a couple or three times in 4 years, but I always kept the Chuck part in there. So many that do change though go hog wild and start using something completely different, so it becomes real hard to keep up with the changes.
It would just be like, in real life, if every month most of the people you knew started using a different name. You just get to know a person as "Bob", and then suddenly he's "Trent"......Get's confusing.

There was enough activity on the board to post 1k posts in a month or less.
Individual Posting Sessions of 50-100 posts in a single night.
50 and more current and active people every day posting.
A camaraderie with other members, an on-line 'Family' of sorts.

I was actually lurking around the board when Canis Canem Edit came out.
Never bothered to make an account though. Up until in 2011 or so, when I found the forum again.
I had always been an avid Bully player, but never really gave into the whole idea of a fanbase.
I'm glad that I joined in later though, since I was pretty immature at the time. Even more so than I am now.

I remember being linked here by Governmentman123 when I asked him about some Bully mods.
It was around late 2010 or early 2011.
How much has changed since then...........

Governmentman was one hell of a good machinima creator.
He had cool ideas and could have easily amassed a big following. Would've been cool to still have him around.

I remember "The Adventures of Vance and Lefty" by him. He sort of disappeared after that.

The last thing I remember about him was him getting frustrated with people stealing his ideas and making counterfeit shows based on his ideas.

Well....Once an Idea is out there, the originator of it usually looses all control over it.

I had that happen to me a few times.
One of them was a kid ripping off Jimmy Goes to School. And I don't mean the concept, I mean all the jokes too.
He got scared, removed the videos and left the board.
I didn't really get annoyed by it, just confused.
I gave my input to him via PM and said that he should try exploring some original ideas and concepts.

It will take some time though for people to come back and start being active again after so much time. We are almost starting from scratch again as far as jumpstarting life back into the community.
But it's like the old saying "If you build it, they will come" so...we will see what the future holds. Long as just a few of us continue to be active or semi-active, this place will never truely die.

If it's any consolation the place I used to live in actually had no street signs identifying it, so parking tickets issued for the street ALWAYS got dismissed as the cars weren't even on the street identified on the ticket.
It wasn't literally a street with no name though - just an address location with no identifiable markers. On that note, however - I do know of a literal street with no name - or at least, the least imaginative one ever...
