Well, I opted to get Bully instead of Army of Two. I heard that there are certain problems and glitches with the game. This is from gameinformer.com:
"We have just become aware of the issues people are having with Bully: Scholarship Edition on Xbox 360. It appears that some older 360s are experiencing framerate issues, freezes and other problems. You have our word that we never experienced any of this in QA - in any of our offices or at Microsoft. I am horrified, and we are now working around the clock to rectify this situation. Thanks to Neo-Gaf for bringing this matter to our attention. We love our games and put a huge amount of energy and care into making them all that they can be. We would never shove anything out the door - we never have and never will. We apologize to everyone affected for the inconvenience. - Respectfully, Sam Houser"
Well, mr. houser is right on with the framerate issue. It is most definetely choppy. But, he is dead wrong about this happening with older 360's. My 360 is an arcade console with a manufactured date of September 2007. Obviously, not an old console. Also, I took the game to a friend's house. His console has a November 2007 date. It also freezes on his console. So, for the record, the issues are directly related to the game. The console's birth date has nothing to do with the issues at all. I'm glad a patch will soon be issued.***Note***The framerate issue is not my biggest concern. The freezing of the game is what bothers me so much.

bah, this is the first i've heard of these problems. I am not getting Bully SE, i hope this is not an issue that will plague further R* games... ahem... GTAIV

Ok so I got Bully SE on 360 the day it came out. Played it for a few hours in the evening after work and it played fine. Actually didnt even hear about the issues till last friday. So this wkend I played it non stop (had to have put at least 15 hours into it) and it crashed on me a total of 3 times. Twice durring the "Glass House" mission and once more @ a random spot outside the Vale beach house.
Its annoying to be sure but so far not that big a deal...espeically if they get a timely fix out a.s.a.p.
Any word on when the fix will drop?
-
Nah not yet. Feel sorry for the people who don't have a connection to the internet tho and wont be able to download the fix.
-
^ I know right. How did this get past the QA dept though? I love me some R* but this kinda stinks.
-
I can only presume they were testing the game on the newer systems and the problem came to light when to sale as it seems to be the older systems that it's happening on.
God i hope they don't find similar problems with GTA
-
I've heard it's happening on newer systems, as well.
And my friend got her 360 before Christmas, and she got the RROD.

How old are you? Your language skills are appalling. I feel like I am listening to a second grader read a paragraph about what they did over their weekend.

Burn!!!

"Operator, burn ward please."
>=D

As far as if ithe glitches are only affecting those playing on older systems....i can say this. My arcade sku is only 3wks old, the only glitch that I have encountered is freezing and this only occurs during extremely long sessions. As far as the other reported glitches...i haven’t encountered them at all.

Perhaps it's overheating? I don't know - I'm torn on the 360. There are a few games I actually DO want for it, but at the same time, I'm afraid to spend money on a system with so many known glitches/failures.
Burn!!!
Word.

I cant seem to get my PC retail version of Bully to work. I have tried everything to make it work, but it simply freezes after the intro video. I have updated my soundcard driver, my graphics card driver, used run typed in "msconfig" to limit my ram and also installed other countless programs.
My Specs:
Microsoft Windows XP SP3
AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core Processor 4400+
2.0 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
My PC retail version of Bully wont seem to get past the first intro video.
Can anyone help!
