Title: Bully Scholarship Edition requires a DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Post by: KvngHydra on November 02, 2015, 09:32:02 PM
I'm new here. So, I don't know if this should be posted in this section. (Move it if need too).
But, anyways. Every time I open Bully on my laptop, it loads.. then a screen pops up saying "it requires a DirectX 9.0c sound card",
I already did multiple methods/ways of fixing it online.. but too no avail. I really, really wanna play this game. Been a tad bit too long since I've played it.

Can anyone give help me? Any suggestions? Btw, I'm using Windows 7.

you might not have your speaker or headphones plugged in.

keep in mind when u play bully u need to have some sort of sound device plugged in.

IF the problem persists, u may wanna check one of these links:

I played Bully on this laptop before. But, I had to send it too a computer shop because it wasn't turning on properly. So, I had to re-download bully. And now its saying that.

Processor:  Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B840 @ 1.90GHz 1.90 GHz

your sound card probably isn't DirectX 9.0c compatible

It's a long shot, but try using a cheap set of USB speakers or a USB headset.  Hopefully that bypasses the problem for you.
