How can i connect the xbox 360 controller or ps3 controller to the pc??

I use one that connects via USB.
Just google "xbox 360 windows usb" or something similar to it and you'll probably find lots of results.

I found alot of stuff and tried alot of stuff but nothing worked

Make sure it's on before you start the game, then once you're in-game, go to the options menu and enable xbox 360 controller.

my problem is when i connect it to the pc it doesn't turn on

Then it's probably broken or you haven't installed any drivers for it.
