It's the mission 'Stronghold assault' at the start of chapter 4, once you have completed that the spud gun will spawn in your dorm room :)

I thought i'd never get it..then i did lol although the bottle rocket launcher is the best weapon, i think..

nah the rocket launcher sucks lol and yeh in the mission where u get protect the nerds and the rocket goes mental some times and dosent here anywhere near ur target
