i feel kind of dumb for asking this, but what does editing the default.ide do? like would it change the ide.img or anything?
also, if i were to change a character's unique-ness in the default.ide (for example, dropout zoe after chapter 5) would they show up in the game?
thanks in advance
-
Not sure.
I suspect that it would mess the game up a bit since the default.ide declares all of the characters models and descriptions...
-
hm..
i have my original backed up, but i tried playing with an edited one and nothing seemed different. it didn't crash or anything
-
Strange..
Maybe it's unused even?
Or just a list for the developers to look at if they ever wanted to spawn someone for a mission or something...
-
i tried playing without it even and it still worked? i would guess it's probably unused then
-
Perhaps...
Are you using a steam version of the game?
-
Yeah the file is kinda useless.
I think it's an uncompiled version of the default.idb inside ide.img.
-
^ Correct.
default.ide is an uncompiled version of default.idb (which is found inside the ide.img).
