Title: The clocks a pain in the butt
Post by: star28c on October 18, 2006, 07:37:14 AM: I'VE missed like 3 classés already because of the clock not to meantion the map sucks as well i got confussed several time where to go .I dont understand the map like you see a bell then a yellow star then a orange triangle witch one is the class you need to go too?:roll: They dont give you much time to do anything... and then the extra stuff trying to help people out you have no time to do both class then extras...After the first chapter i understand you can leave the school ground's how in the world will you have enough time for classés still the times goes by so fast it gets late quick.I hoping jimmys dosnt need to go to class's anymore in the second chapter.I like the game but the timeing sucks and the map could have been a little more better.I am hoping for a cheat code that will stop the clock.

Post by: redturtle18 on October 18, 2006, 07:41:52 AM: The orange triangle means the class is on a different floor and yeah, I don't like that if a mission is inside or outside of where you are the star appears at the entrance or exit until you get there. But I got used to it.

Complete the classes before exploring the map. I complete gym and I don't have to go anymore.

Ok so just go through the first chapter and complete the classe's first dont help anyone so like a saw several extas some people had blue markers on their heads dont help them.If i don't help anyone will thoughs extras be still available after i have completed my classés.Hey also can jimmy go to lunch in this game or not what's his break time cause thats when i will try to help others out even though the times crazy and when is break over.I tried to get some kids to play ball with me and it didn't work have you tried this?

Post by: star28c on October 18, 2006, 08:18:43 AM: it goes by very quick its like 1 hr lets say 1hr and 20 minutes mybe if you do exra stuff but i found out you will miss your classe's if you do extra stuff.. i am trying to get to the next chapter so i am not going to do the extras not right now until i finish my classes.But i am lol how Jack was after this game its so strick it's kind of like really going to school and it's nothing like gta you would think rockstar never had anything to do with this game because it dosnt seem like their work.But its a great games just takes time getting use to working with that clock

Í havent even going that far yet cause i missed my class because i was helping someone out but i will tell you soon but i did use the slingshot and that was great i took out the football team i shot

Post by: DC Camel on October 19, 2006, 12:37:02 PM: I just finished "The Candidate" and when you complete it the clock goes away and you got all the time in the world before you do the halloween mission. Getting to explore around without having to worry about the clock and doing those small missions where you can bet for money. Pretty fun, hope there's more offtime like this between certain missions.

Post by: ZanyD on October 21, 2006, 02:50:39 AM: After a while....especially when the town opens up...you end up skipping class a lot! :D Once you complete a class, it's really not a big deal. Just watch out for the truancy cops. But the game has you playing by strict rules for the 1st chapter.
The map issue is just one that takes getting used to.

Once you complete a class you don't have to attend so you'll feel like a senior just wandering around while alot of other kids are in class (Alot of other kids dont go to class sumtimes, skipping or otherwise)
Im in CHapter 3 and there is so much to do right now, and the schedule is never a problem since i only have 1 day that I have to go to class left. You can save some of your classes for later if you want to keep that school feel, but watch out for Truancy..

1) Find an item that makes a good catch game! (soccerball/football/frisbee.etc.)

2)Use L1 to aim at the person you wish to play with. (girls usually run away)

3)while holding L1, press and hold R1

4) in most cases they will make a signal, mostly a slight gesture, or a 'throw it here' gesture, youll know.

5) let go of R1, and they will catch (make sure theyr facing you!!) if caught, they will usually throw it back, as long as the L1 button is kept, or you dont move.

6)Once they throw it back, press triangle at the right time to catch.

7) Repeat

(the catching took me a while to figure out. lol.)
