I want to know 2 things:
1)How can I add someone to my buddy list?
2)What is the function of the notifications?
[Sorry if these are silly questions, but I'm still new onh this forum]

1.) In the "Contact Me" box on someone's profile, there will be "Add To Buddy List". Click that.

2.) Notifications can be used on topics or boards. This lets you know when posts are made there. This will be sent to your email.

For both notifications and buddies, there are settings. They can be adjusted. For settings based on notifications, just go to the "notifications" area. For buddies settings, go to your "Ultimate Profile".

Addition.....Some of us oldsters won't add newbie 'buddies' right away.  We prefer to wait until we know the person better first.  Generally the reason is that newbies will flood us with those requests, and many will not stick around. 

So, don't take offense if you are not added by some right away.
