Title: Preparation for 3d modeling

Hey so im getting ready to learn some 3d modeling. i download the latest blender, the latest blender nifscripts, latest python, and the latest python pyffi. When i run the nifscripts, it says i dont have a recent enough version of pyffi. i downloaded the most recent one. Any help?

What are the version numbers for everything you downloaded?

Blender I personally do not use since I prefer 3ds max which also has some nif plugins....however not everyone can get 3ds max either as that is not cheap software. So blender is best for most ppl.
