Title: IMG tool error- Teachers and Asylum Inmates
Post by: Bully1337 on September 27, 2011, 10:47:49 AM
Hey guys. I have been experimenting on the IMG tool and teacher and asylum inmate skins are still silver but flash a kind of light brown with dots and random shapes on, and only about 1/4 of the skin is the normal colour. I was thinking if anyone would know why I have not missed out any NIF or NFT's.

You could try rebuilding the archive and see if that works. I am going to release soon a modded img editor for bully that originally was for gta but now customized to work with bully and it does a better job then img-tool, I did modify it without the original author's permission but have kept the copyrights on its about box intact since I just changed some of its code after reverse engineering it and adding bully icons to it. I will release its full details in a day or two with a method thats far faster then what img-tool does since this tool doesn't require or need you to rebuild the archives. You can also create new archives from scratch with it too.

The same problem happened to me with bob. His skin looks normal but the wrestling outfit is silver.

Sounds like the skin just simply is not being loaded correctly or read correctly then...I have never tried messing with the skins yet in bully so those I know little about.

I meant the outfit from ''the gym is burning''. The only one he has. I tryied playing as him but he looks weird.

Also I was thinking using Juri textures to get bob with his original jock outfit.

Once I finish up working with steman on his project and finish a couple other things, I can take a day to learn the skin style/format for bully and see if maybe I can correct the skins ppl are having problems with. Or just simply reskin every character with high res textures and maybe see where that will lead.

To go a bit offtopic here...I will be converting all of my tutorials into downloadable .pdf documents for ppl to download just to make things a little easier for some that have a hard time reading through everything I have typed since I will admit that I do sometimes go a bit overboard on details....but that has served me well so far...lol

@steman
I will send you a report in a day or two dealing with our project since I am poking around the whole thing and figuring out more or less how it works so hopefully I have somthing concrete for you to take a look at in the next few days if things go according to plan ;)

gdgd , hopefully it will give me something to sink my teeth into,
...I think the tutorials are second to none, their expertly put together and its got a perfect amount of detail in them, anyone can read and understand them and even the expierienced people can dig something out of them, big detail is the key which has made these tutorials so likeable acknowledgement is rightfully deserved keep them comming ;)

I will. Besides, just simply being told nice job is more then enough to give me the energy to do more...heh

on the tutorials, I have just been drawing from my years of experience with beta testing, coding and some professional work I have done in order to make the tuts as good as possible, since I refuse to release somthng thats done halfway...just aint my style.

So there is no solution?
I have tried the same thing.
The skins work for students as far as I know.
But, it made my game mass lag for some reason.

1 student = no lag
5 students = no lag
10 students = little lag
20 students = mass lag

What?

If I try to replace the clothes of Jimmy with a mental patient, his clothes flash grey and skin color for some reason.
And replacing a bunch of students models with the mental patients will mass lag.
